Knapppers
Not sure if anyone here really likes these guys but theyre my favorite band next to blink and have been for probably over 10 years. They just released their new album Fate and Alcohol today and the band is now done. They decided to put it out and then call it quits, not touring it or doing a farewell show or anything. Pretty bittersweet listening to it right now. Absolutely love their music and have seen them live 3 times which is also an amazing experience. Nothing will beat seeing them 2 nights in a row in a little dive bar in Vancouver when they came out with their last album. Theyre also from Vancouver, where I live, so that makes it feel like an even stronger connection I have to them. If you enjoy them at all, I highly recommend this article/interview with them. Goes into why the band is ending and a look back on their careers. https://www.stereogum.com/2279911/japandroids-2024/interviews/cover-story/ And also here's the comeback single off the album, the first new music they put out since 2017
Ghost
I like them. Don't listen to them regularly but sure they are more than interesting. I love some of their songs, like really love them. They have some sort of hability to songs as huge as the ones on Celebration Rock. The House That Heaven Built is amazing, and also "Near To THe The Wild Heart Of Life" (from that same title record). I don't know how in the hell just a guitar and drums can create such a unique full sound. Those songs are amazing.
