    Blink-182 Collectors Thread

My bad, I've never been much of a collector so I don't come through this thread often. I saw the post above mine for the neighborhood vinyl and thought it wasn't out of place. Is there anywhere more appropriate?

    We'll All Die Young

Not sure what Jekyll and Hyde have to do with dying young, Bonnie and Clyde fits the same and makes more sense considering they both died young and gunned down together.

When they covered "Hope", by Descendents?

I'm to sure if this is the exact recording but I know at one point it was recorded for a radio station, I want to say during the promotion of untitled. I think they played Miss You or Asthenia and then this. They also played it on tour during the TOYPAJ era.

The blink 182 general discussion topic

There was an old interview with Alternative Press that came out as they were finishing up recording TOYPAJ where they talked about their drug use. At the time they smoked heaps, did a lot of ecstasy, and Mark told the story about how he was drugged with acid that ended up inspiring Fighting the Gravity. Not sure if they mentioned anything else, it's been a long while. I know ages ago I had posted the relevant parts from it because at the time everyone on here was young and kept saying there was no way any of them would ever do drugs because drugs are bad. I'm way too lazy to go back that far in my post history, but if anyone else wants to do some digging it was probably about a decade ago. Wow I've lurked around here a long ass time.

Breaking Bad Season 5 (SPOILER ALERT)

Other than your first 2 seconds, nothing you said has anything to do with relativity. Again, even if shooting yourself in the head makes time slow down and hurts, please go back and read the symptoms of ricin poisoning. Your proteins misfold and slowly all of your organs shut down over the course of days until you die. I can't imagine thats less painful or a shorter process than a bullet.

Breaking Bad Season 5 (SPOILER ALERT)

From The CDC. What part of this sounds like something anyone would willingly put themselves through? source: http://www.bt.cdc.gov/agent/ricin/facts.asp Signs and symptoms of ricin exposure The major symptoms of ricin poisoning depend on the route of exposure and the dose received, though many organs may be affected in severe cases. Initial symptoms of ricin poisoning by inhalation may occur as early as 4- 8 hours and as late as 24 hours after exposure. Following ingestion of ricin, initial symptoms typically occur in less than 10 hours. Inhalation: Within a few hours of inhaling significant amounts of ricin, the likely symptoms would be respiratory distress (difficulty breathing), fever, cough, nausea, and tightness in the chest. Heavy sweating may follow as well as fluid building up in the lungs (pulmonary edema). This would make breathing even more difficult, and the skin might turn blue. Excess fluid in the lungs would be diagnosed by x-ray or by listening to the chest with a stethoscope. Finally, low blood pressure and respiratory failure may occur, leading to death. In cases of known exposure to ricin, people having respiratory symptoms should seek medical care. Ingestion: If someone swallows a significant amount of ricin, he or she would likely develop vomiting and diarrhea that may become bloody. Severe dehydration may be the result, followed by low blood pressure. Other signs or symptoms may include seizures, and blood in the urine. Within several days, the person’s liver, spleen, and kidneys might stop working, and the person could die. Skin and eye exposure: Ricin is unlikely to be absorbed through normal skin. Contact with ricin powders or products may cause redness and pain of the skin and the eyes. However, if you touch ricin that is on your skin and then eat food with your hands or put your hands in your mouth, you may ingest some. Death from ricin poisoning could take place within 36 to 72 hours of exposure, depending on the route of exposure (inhalation, ingestion, or injection) and the dose received.

Breaking Bad Season 5 (SPOILER ALERT)

I think the ricin is for Lydia and he will slip it into her tea since they've done such a meticulous job of linking tea to her character this season. In the flash forward Walt has his giant gun in the trunk, I assume that's for Todd and the neo-nazis. Not sure how things with Jesse will play out. As much as the show has been about the transformation of Walt's character, Jesse serves as Walt's folly. Walt is the brain and Jesse is the heart and while Walt has gotten significantly darker in his character arc, Jesse has progressed the opposite, beginning series as the meth cook with his mini chili-p empire and in the end has become so repulsed by the business he wants nothing to do with it, going as far as working with the DEA to absolve his conscience of his role in it. In contrast Walt began a law abiding citizen and has turned criminal. Because of this, I don't see Jesse killing Walt and I certainly don't see Jesse taking revenge on Walt's family, that would be completely out of character now but there will certainly be some confrontation between the two. I don't see Jesse dying, particularly after what they've put him through in the last few episodes where as Walt will die, he's been dying since the very first episode. It might be cancer or it might be a storm of bullets but he won't survive. I don't get why everyone thinks Walt is going to go after The Grey Matter People, Whose Names I Cannot Remember, here on to be referred to as TGMPWNICR. As I read into it, Walt was ready to turn himself in after losing his Son and realizing the last thing he could do for his family would be to turn himself in. Walt isn't motivated by his family, though he keeps saying, and may well believe, he is. Every decision he's made recently has been to feed his own ego and self worth except when he's hit rock bottom. His family is a crutch he leans on when things aren't going right, now that his own son can't stand him, he has nothing left to fall back on, hence his one almost selfless act of giving himself up. The interview with TGMPWNICR is not significant because he needs to go kill them, it's about how he other people made a fortune off his work and he has been written out of their success. This parallels what's happening with his blue meth empire as alluded to when the interview mentions that the blue meth is still on the street and as far as Europe, and he won't let it happen again. Now he's off to reclaim his money, kill the neo-nazis, and have one last confrontation with Jesse before he dies. There is no happily ever after for Walt, there will be no redemption. He's gone too far and the end of this last episode indicates that he's once again descending into darkness. My prediction for the very end is, Creepy Todd and the nazis=dead. Lydia=ricin dead. Walt will save Jesse from Creepy Todd or Jesse will save Walt from Creepy Todd, upon discovering Jesse, he will beg Walt to kill him, Walt will ultimately take pity on him in one last redemptive act after which he will likely be killed by the DEA. Before this there will be a possible reconciliation with Skyler, probably on the phone but not in person and not with Jr. Walt's death will bond Marie and the rest of the family. I like the idea that Jesse takes on Brock, though if I could write the finale, I'd have a shot of him on the first day of a chemistry class at the Albuquerque community college. And ending on a shot of the money going to waste, either in the desert or in NH. Somewhere off camera Skinny Pete and Badger will get stoned and discuss what would happen if Captain Kirk hooked up with Princess Leia.
