I'm gunna try and get to the leeds dates but it all depends on me getting a job.
-
Over it. When it comes I'll be excited, but for me blink are still on hiatus.
-
And we wouldn't have good music without them. How they owe us something beyond this transaction is what I'd like to know. Tell me, do you think blink benefits more from having you as a fan (your worth to them is maybe a hundred dollars or so, money they can use for toilet paper) than you benefit from them (their worth to you is great music that lasts for life)? You'll admit that you benefit more from them so by this logic, you owe them. 5 years ago I might have agreed with you, but blink aren't in my top 20 bands now. I get nostalgia from their music and they have some great songs, but I doubt I benefit more from their music than they do from the money I have spent on them.

I love Ric's. TO me it's all about the sound. Their jangle tone is just orgasmic. As someone else said Tom Gabel of AM! gets a great tone out of his.

Haha yeah, I mean it's not like people in this topic are pissed that they haven't seen blink cus they have only toured North America...oh wait...
-
totally agree, having to wait for new material is not something to cry about, just go about your lives and before you know it, new material will be released. Uhhh, quite a few of us have been complaining about the tour (or lack of touring), not new material. Should we not complain about being forced to go to weekend festivals to see 1 band?
-
Anerican tour...I haven't seen them. The rest of the world is still yet to see them, and will have to pay about £150-200 a ticket to see them at a festival.
-
They came out of hiatus over a year ago, and all they have done is 1 tour across 2 countries. Pretty weak if you ask me. No new music, no world tour, no news of when new music is coming.
-
Yeah I agree on this. I have seen videos of them on YouTube, same as if they were on hiatus. Nothing new, and taking goddamn ages to actually tour, so to me they are essentially still on hiatus.

Yeah, 25 years ago... Only the very biggest Pop/R'n'B acts would get anywhere near 350,000 sales in a day now. Arctic Monkeys sold that many in the UK alone 3 years ago in a week, so it's not hard to see worldwide that sort of sales.
-
And this is based off our vast database of sales for free albums in the first 48 hours? Physical albums have sold that many in a day, so it's safe to assume for something you don't have to pay for that's not huge.
-
From wiki: Citing a source close to the band, Gigwise.com reported that by the day of its online release, the album had sold 1.2 million copies.[49] The claim, however, has been dismissed by band manager Bryce Edge as "exaggerated".[50]

Wow 10/10 eh? Nothings ever going to top this album for you? Seriously? did i say that? 10 out of 10 means nothing can ever be better than it, so if it is 10/10 then that's what you are saying.
-
I'm moving mine down to a 4/10, it's ok, but just pretty boring.
-
I can't believe so many people are giving this 9/10 and higher, but maybe that's just me. I can't see this album as one of the all time great albums or whatever. Those albums to me would be 9 or 10 out of 10.
-
Solid album, best ava have done so far so 6/10
-
I thought I would make a topic for everyone to put their opinions in rather than have them in the release topics. Well so far (5 tracks in) I am finding it more musically interesting than the other 2, but it's gunna take a few more listens for me to decide fully if its just good, or if it is great. What do you guys think?

Hoppus: 2011 is too far away. Gonna do all I can to have a blink-182 album in 2010. Year Spaceship!
-
You do know that the album will be finished 5/6months before it is released right? That's the way big labels work, they want the time before the album comes out to maximise promo and make sure the band are everywhere when the album comes out. So even if blink finished the album by February it wouldn't be out until at the earliest September.

At a party or with my friends, hell yes I prefer playing rock band/gh.
-
I don't play it, and it doesn't bother me that people have fun with it, I am just sick of hearing about it. I also think it is such a waste cause all these people who play this fake shit could be learning how to play for real. I've played real guitar and I've played this game (once to try it). Real guitar is 1000 times more fun and real instead of FAKE. The thing about all these games is, that's a lot of fun playing at a party. Once I was playing guitar, a friend of mine was also playing guitar and another friend was playing drums at the same time. Yeah when you have a few friends round, or at a party its great fun to play. Bit rubbish on your own though.

You do know we have private healthcare too? And if you are scared of the fantastic NHS then you can go to a private hospital and pay if you want...
