  1. aaron says edging was written in the middle of the actual recording process. considering that song is full blown done and released, they must be near the end.
  2. this strategy ruined the album for me. afi did that with their rise records album too and i was mad about it. hard to have self control and not listen when you're desperate. i don't think blink will do this though. everything forthcoming will likely be a random surprise, whether it's another single or the album release itself.
  3. i'm very happy to have been wrong about this. anyone who is a longtime fan of skiba knows that he struggles with a lot of personal shit. it's apparent in his lyrics and some of his late night IG posts. so, if this had been handled poorly, i'd feel really bad for him. that's something i didn't want. i think the fact that he's been living with family in a chicago suburb for over a month is really telling of where he's at lately too. he's probably hitting the reset button. despite being happy for blink, it's gotta be a mental whirlwind for him. one day, he's taking press photos on top of the empire state building and playing good morning america. then, a few years later, he's reading about their triumphant reunion from a random park in the midwest where nobody will ever recognize him. i hope he comes back with the best alkaline trio record ever.
  4. i just want some more songs like obvious and stockholm
  5. https://www.instagram.com/p/CjveNXXpjf5/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= he elaborated a bit more on IG. that's what i wanted to hear
  6. i think +44 avoided press too for a really long time before the album came out. it makes sense. especially when journalists only interested in the drama. i think the album is in the mixing, mastering, etc. stages right now. we already know they've been at this for a while. mark told davey he had been recording since early this year. mark's manager said he wasn't surprised by tom's social media bio updates in late july because "he was already in the band" by then.
  7. we really do need a version of PLG without the rap though. one of the biggest mistakes they ever made. i bet that rapper is super irrelevant now anyway.
  8. the apple music stream sounds infinitely better. i dont have any issues with the production or mix here. it's not the single i wanted but i'm also content with it. knowing them, there are better songs to come.
  9. last summer, when matt said he didn't know if he was still in the band, i think he was being honest. if he was sworn to secrecy he wouldn't have responded to a random person at all. i'm sure he connected the dots, just as everyone else on the internet did (2+ years without involvement), and then someone eventually told him. whether that was actually mark/travis or someone representing them is the question. band history tells us it would be the latter. we don't actually know until these guys talk about it more.
  10. tom's not back in the band. turnstile couldn't possibly open for blink by themselves. mark wouldn't use management to kick someone out.
  11. it doesn't. you guys just can't let it go
  12. tell that to the thousands of people commenting on social media lately if they had tom then they wouldn't have feldmann or 10 additional songwriters so yeah i'd eat them up.
  13. the "it's jen's fault" theory was created by cringey incels. only tom was responsible for his behavior
  14. hope skiba gets the chance to save face and let anyone who hated the previous two records know that it wasn't his fault.
  15. what if this is the first time skiba has heard anything from the band since 2019 lol
  16. they really need to drop some album info tomorrow along with interviews. hoping those vinyl pre orders were just a last minute label decision to make money alongside the ticket sales while also saving the details for friday.
  17. it still shows up on my phone. i only use it to grab singles like this if they aren't on band camp or something. it's undeniably better sounding than a stream
  18. it's grown on me really quick. i'm eager to grab a full quality version from itunes. the leaked stream isn't terrible but i think a lot of sounds are getting lost in the compression
  19. i really hope they fuck off with the whole trading vocals thing. it used to be a somewhat rare and pleasant occurrence but they've over done it now. give us solo songs again.
  20. this is likely going the be the most poppy song on the album and it's really not even that extreme in comparison to blame it on my youth or the miley cyrus song they bought. so, i'm not concerned about the rest.
  21. i'm not ~blown away~ but i didn't expect to be. their singles are always the weakest of the new songs. i do like it more than up all night/after midnight and any skiba-era song. the lyrics seem more in line with something like rebel girl vs california and the production does tend to lean more aaron rubin than feldmann imo. so, i'm not hearing the same shit as everyone else. overall, i'm content with it. it's not something i'll listen to 24/7 until the album comes out but it's also not a track i plan on skipping.
  22. Detroit is actually another location that typically sells out first when it comes to blink tours and tom has said it's one of his favorite cities to play.
