https://www.instagram.com/p/CsRvffAJ2sB/?hl=en I'm not sure how to embed instagram posts apparently... Anyway, I've been loving all the peeks behind the scenes during this tour! And yeah in stuff like this it's just striking to see how much more comfortable and down to earth Tom is compared to any time in the past 20 YEARS?! It's also interesting and cool that Tom and Mark specifically seem like they're vibing with each other a lot, and seem comfortable being the two faces of Blink again while Travis is off doing his own thing haha. Travis is integral to Blink's music, but having his persona(?) more front and center more often over the past 14 years, especially during the NonTom era, felt a little bit forced. Tom and Mark bouncing off each other while Travis kinda floats around in the ether...9 points

Tom vibes are completely different from 2009 reunion and 2003 era. This time it feels he's 100% natural, really happy with what he is doing, and really caring about Mark and Travis. Weird times but I absolutely love it. Now we just need a banger album and we're done for 2023.7 points

so last night in toronto mark tried to sing a fall out boy song on the bridge of dammit but it didn't really work2 points

The singer’s face when she realized was so good & everyone in the crowd went from 20-100% into it, immediately. Love it!2 points

I was hoping the Simple Plan song would be Mark's actual lyrics on that song and it'd be a cool way to bring those over to blink. In fact it's a really jarring song choice to use in general (wasn't the biggest hit, and I had honestly forgotten all about it) unless he was specifically going to use those lines. I digress, this is cool too see happening again, and I love to see that Mark seems intent to change up the song for every show, hopefully without any repeats, that'd be nuts.2 points

Rumor on the streets is that they’re taking the riff from Brohemian Rhapsody and turning it into a real song1 point

Is not really special, but I love Shut Up: She said, "You don't care", I know, I don't care1 point

Damn I think that could definitely work if he did it properly. Was the voice meant to be a reference to something? Tom said ‘one person got it’.1 point

He was being a little silly with it but I think he even knew it didn’t work:1 point

@Elisa Could you please let the YouTube videos start at the exact moment of the bridge? This way, I don’t have to scroll aaaaaall the way through the video ? (jk ?)1 point

I’ll be checking this thread after every show. Amazing idea. I showed my father The Bee Gees clip (his favorite band) and he couldn’t believe his son’s favorite band was covering his own favorite band.1 point

Great thread Elisa, thank you so much for this ❤️ Research from the Timeline Website: I've done some investigation here. looked for the less obvious song choices for the rap in particular from previous tours! Mark started doing that Dammit rap right after the Warped Tour 1997 (they just did the normal bridge without any rapping). The first occurence of the Dammit rapping bridge happening is at this show : 9/6/1997: The band performs at Citrus Pavilion in San Bernardino, California. Mark is doing a rap to Public Enemy's "Bring The Noise" 2/23/1998: The band performs at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, Kansas. Mark is doing a rap to The Aquabat's "Super Rad!" 6/18/1999: The band performs at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California as a part of Live 105 BFD 1999 Tom is doing the rap to Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" 7/25/2000: The band performs a secret show for online viewers at the Casbah in San Diego Mark is rapping to Eminem "Forgot About Dre"1 point
