Either, some troll from Reddit has too much time on their hands, or an older member is trolling potentially. Could be a regular poster here letting off steam. Who knows. my money is on @Patient #48273 (jk, she couldn't abide the faux illiteracy)2 points

Hmm I'm actually kind of surprised that some people feel so negatively! I always do a goofy end-of-year "Album Of The Year" post on insta/FB for no real reason, but I actually chose One More Time this year. Here's what I wrote, it doesn't get into specifics because most of my friends aren't Blink fans, but it sums up my feelings overall:2 points

Jesus christ. Perma ban it is. If other new accounts do similar things let us know.2 points

While I wasn't personally on #blinkRebels, I do remember most, if not all the Blink-182 videos I downloaded off file sharing programs like Kazaa had a BlinkRebels tag on it so I appreciate the amazing work that they did bringing video content online.2 points

Honestly, I'm just thankful to be getting new music from Tom, Mark, and Travis... I'm also grateful that it sounds decent because it could always be worse. But yeah, tomorrow isn't guaranteed as @Frontrunner Diddypointed out, Mark nearly died from cancer and even before that Travis also had a near fatal plane accident in 2009. Who knows, maybe OMT could actually end up being the last album ever released by them, I hope not, but we just never know circumstances could always change and the blink as we know (and love) it could be no more. I'm not going to spend my time being negative or upset things aren't the way I want them to be. Would I love for them to strip back live shows and play like a punk band once again? Sure, but if that doesn't make them happy and they want to play to a click track with backing tracks (with a crazy live setup that includes a giant inflatable bunny) then so be it, I'll be there to support them with that as well. I'd also love for them to explore the earlier skate punk sounds that got them started, but I doubt they ever will other than a few songs. I just don't get constantly shitting and being negative on them when there are so many better ways to spend your energy. That's why I left the forums after Tom got the boot back in 2015 because as much as I wanted to try the Skiba era of blink and give them the benefit of the doubt, I just couldn't get into them. Instead I was going to be a negative poster, and I didn't want to do that since that wouldn't have been fun for me or others that were fond of blink with Skiba.2 points

Choosing to be miserable just to hope your tiny percentage of influence is big enough to convince them to make a certain style you like better for the next 10 years seems a waste of life is my point. Because the chances of that happening is so small and all that effort will never return the results you want anyways due to the above. ✌️ No ones overhyping it either, plenty of bitching all around, they’re gonna make what they wanna make at this rate1 point

Damn dude trying to do a quick internet browse before going to sleep but I can’t just let this slip Blink camp does not care what blink182online 100 posters think. They even said they don’t care when several camps were outraged by FIL. They are old, already made fame, Mark almost died. They are shutting the noise off whether we say we like something or not. Again, 100 posters isn’t going to affect anything regardless. The projects you posted might suck. We don’t need to honor them. You are officially in the camp of trying too hard to be not-biased and cooler than fanboys and shitting on blink just to do so In return making you a hypocrite because OMT, despite all its flaws, is way better than the junk you and faps are posting. Sorry, but even as a hater of the modern music stuff they dabbled with still on here, it’s still better than Weezecunts and Sum 41cunts Greencunts and everything else getting slopped on here. Again, Enema was 24 years ago..Untitled was 20 years ago. Stop expecting this rerun of the feels you had then and the returns of their music at this point. Neighborhoods they’ve stated they didn’t like making, despite myself also loving that, it’s just super obvious they aren’t making In Utero - Blink and need to tamper those expectations and move on if it bothers you so much1 point

We (the blinkRebels team) were the first ones releasing this video on the internet. The Mark on Politically Incorrect TV appearance was recorded by Haushinka (a well-known blinkRebels video/audio ripper at the time). I shared this video release among other blinkRebels releases via my blinkRebels mIRC server ([bRB]-F10) on the #blinkRebels mIRC channel in the early 2000s. Might sound Greek to most of you but the #blinkRebels mIRC channel was the father of this website. There was no YouTube back then. For those of you interested in watching the whole video, here's the full blinkRebels video release in question of Mark on Politically Incorrect, you can download it in the link below. Download link PS #blinkRebels was a magic place to me, I personally spent countless hours there - Is there anyone here still around from the #blinkRebels days? or am I the only dinosaur left?1 point

New addition to the timeline website! added new location for this show (as it was moved from the original venue) Huge thanks to Ed Fell for contacting the timeline website! 8/6/1998: The band performs at the Le Bois Horse Track in Boise, Idaho. Added this new link (as the old one was deleted!) Huge credits to mypartofthething on Youtube for the music video! Mark and Scott make a cameo appearance in the music video for "Go" by Dance Hall Crashers. Here is more information in regards to that video from Gavin Hammon (drummer of DHC) : "If memory serves, Mark and Scott (the original drummer) from Blink were two of the aliens. I was the one behind the drumkit. (There's a quick shot of the aliens playing our gear). This video was a lot of fun to make!"1 point

I too am curious. But hey, if they discussed Napster, maybe I did watch part of it? I have some recollection of Mark talking about it on a show but couldn't remember if I just misremembered that. I remember him being kind of cool about it and saying that it would be something they can't really fight and will have to accept, to which I think Maher was like "that's not right, they're stealing from you, are you stupid?". Heck, I might even recall some online discourse saying he was wearing glasses to seem "smart" or as a joke or something. Thinking about it more, maybe I just read about his appearance? An online recap of it seems more or less likely to be around at the time. Like, he was just on it and most people didn't know until like the day of. Also remember people were still mad at them for not being "real punk" and calling him out for being a "poser" and being a vapid shill in stupid glasses and this was a great opportunity for that. But hey, that was every other week.1 point

I'm curious what kind of pre-9/11 politics they discussed on that show haha. Probably seems pretty quaint when you watch it now.1 point

Hey Justin! Glad to have you on the boards! It's Thibaut ? I'll make sure to keep looking out for a review in regards to the February 25th 1998 show at Sokol Hall. I haven't found any information in regards to that particular Omaha incident though! I only have an advert and a flyer for that show that is on the website1 point

Anybody else really enjoy the interview on the 182 News podcast with Rick Devoe? I learned so many new tidbits about the bands early days from that episode1 point

This is easily the find of the year! I'm glad to see that the analysis that I posted here on the forums 5 years ago was accurate af. Nailed the year, nailed the month. Notice how they talked about the video in the article above (I've also talked about the video for years - apparently contains the very first live performance of Dammit ever recorded + backstage footage of the band). Hopefully one day it'll surface online1 point
