  1. Laughed at how dumb this was, but then thought how it would be cool to have a polo with a embroided blink logo on it. Gotta have one or two polos for work occasions, why not have a blink one. Probably won't buy it, but rethought it after gagging about it at first.
  2. Wow, Ilan continues to show how he pushes Tom in directions he wanted to go, but wasn't able to flesh out quite fully (I'm looking at you, LOVE pt 1 and 2). Well done, this song is great. I've continually been impressed with the releases with Ilan, starting with Diary, Of Nightmares, etc. It's a shame Tom couldn't make this shit work with blink, as clearly he just needs some drives to be creative - which is what blink is missing. With direction, Tom is an absolute driver. Ilan and Tom seem to be a good match, but it must be exhausting working with Tom as well. Hopefully he sticks around.
  3. Lmao how far up your own ass do you have to be to justify a band would sound worse off "with weird yo ohs", while being completely ignorant to the horrendously over-used "nanananana"'s put out by the new blink.
  4. Not bad, I'm happy they're letting Matt breathe a bit here. His bits sound like a nice AK3 trade off. Not a fan of the lyrics and I don't really like the Mark driven parts of the song, but I also have to accept the fact Mark clearly was and is the pop-driven one here. I guess Self Titled just spoiled my expectations of blink, and going forward with music that sounds like anything similar to work done prior to Self Titled and Neighborhoods feels like a regression to me. It isn't, but it's just how I feel while listening to it.
  5. I don't know. I wish they just released shit like this normally and not as a "response" to fans - like, I can't tell if this is either an actual attempt at a punk song for them (if it was, a bit of a bummer considering the over-producing "punk" sound and subsequent filming of a video with an extremely hyper-exaggerated archetype of what "punk" looks like) - or if they're just taking the piss and trying to be a literal hyperbole and fully aware of how ironic this all seems. I can't make up my mind if I like the song or not, but I guess it's going in the direction I'd like to see "new" blink go rather than the last releases. It reminds me of when Tom said he was releasing the most "punk thing he's ever done" and it was a video of a bunch of teenagers skateboarding around an empty pool. It just screams to me
  6. You can enjoy vanilla ice cream without indulging in an entire gallon of it.
  7. Neighborhoods is an album I can throw on and randomly dig. Bored to Death was a radio jam that had people who couldn't care less about blink actually tuning in. It was a great feeling hearing cars blasting that tune in the summer randomly.
  8. Which one sounds better??? Tbh it's a tie for me between a wet fart and Angels and Airwaves Hallucinations (Mark Hoppus Remix)
  9. Yea I'd imagine Mark and Travis being kinder to Tom atm is largely due in fact to their success as well as knowing Tom is probably going through a shit ton of depression about Jen. If anyone watched the most recent documentary with Tom (the motorcycle one) - it's the first time I've seen him looked so choked up about something that happened to him recently that he doesn't end up talking about specifically - and my guess is it's to do with his wife/separation. Doesn't help the fact that Jen is acting like every single 20 year old ex girlfriend on her Instagram now. Cringy stuff from her for sure. Oh and Mark now follows Tom on Instagram. Thought that was interesting.
  10. Tbh I'm used to Tom throwing out the garbage hype lines of upcoming tracks and albums, not Mark. I honestly thought he did his job in bringing blink back to the relevance with a poppy California, created a side band with a more popular/younger artist to fulfill his pop/fame-endeavors, and put in place the perfect set up to create a dark blink album.... And then, this. When Mark AND Travis both collectively say that this album will relate to Self-Titled, and then choose to lead off with this track right after their dumpsterfire of a mashup, I can't help but think this is some sort of epic blink prank.
  11. I just want to hear what a mix between Alkaline Trio and +44 would sound like ffs. It would be so fucking badass. WHERE ARE THESE TWO ARTISTS!? Is that really too much to ask for!?
  12. That was fucking garbage. Mark should be ashamed even remotely insinuating this could sound like something off Self-Titled. Guy needs to blast GO in his car and figure out what the hell blinks identity used to be.
  13. I guess I'm more of a fan of that translating into the music portion of the song rather than having it being contrasted to pop-music. He should go back to The Sekrets, what a band that was.
  14. Just read the lyrics and finding it funny how a pair of 40 year olds who are the walking definitions of sell outs are singing about not living an easy life. YOUTH REBELLION LALALDADADA OHOHHHHH The Simple Plan blink part of the tour should be named "Teenage Angst in 2020/Whats My Age Again" Tour
  15. Chirpin new blink but tbf this is pretty much meRN waiting for someone to post an alt. link
  16. Why? There's quite a few other streaming services that are preferred over Apple music lol
  17. I still can't believe you're the one who had a problem with AVA deviating from the blink sound when they were full force. blink could do a collab with Miley Cyrus and you'd be all over it defending their integrity. Band is in shambles - Mark taking WMAA lyrics too seriously (or not seriously enough).
  18. Based on what we can see through blinks history, I think Tom was more interested in being pushy about his wants and ideas when it came to recording the album(s), so you've got to imagine he let Mark talk the helm on other areas of blink in order not to rock the boat too hard (though eventually its pretty clear he did anyways). I think that shows with all the creative decisions that have been made with Mark at the helm, comparatively to Tom's decisions in AVA.
  19. Mark did a quick insta live just now and two things stuck out to me 1) he acknowledged DED album - said there's no real plans to play any songs from it nor do they plan on releasing anything physical copy of it out of pure laziness 2) someone said the new tour sucks and he said it didn't and it actually is going to rock lol
  20. Simple Creatures was and is pure made-for-radio garbage. I can't tell what's more pompous: their self-proclaimed "Trash-pop" designation, or Tom's insistence that AVA is still a band. Ah well...
  21. "Trash Pop" is the cringiest self-description I've ever heard in my life, my God. It's pop and this is absolutely awful. Couldn't imagine anyone listening to this over the age of 16. Wonder if Maroon5 is going to be featured on the next blink album the way Mark is rolling in his 40s.
  22. Has this been posted? Really made Toms reality seem more human and understandable when he sat down for a real interview. Gotta imagine he's taking about his current situation with Jenn and his family. Never seen him that close to breaking down before, he's a pretty hidden dude in that department.
  23. It sort of makes me feel bad for Tom when Mark tags Tom, because I feel like Mark is doing it because Tom behind the scenes is probably a wreck. Everything in his life is falling apart and I think Mark now being in the position of power feels bad for the guy (not enough to let him fuck up his life again though)
  24. Don't know if it's because the forum is dead or what but it's absolute garbage they're playing EOTS without Tom, what a joke lmao. Say what you will about Tom using the band for money; Mark is just as, if not more guilty, in gutting blink for money and money only. Aoki and Smirnoff, flying into Disney by helicoptor for his bday and now this, what a week. Him and Skiba really staying true to their PUNKROOTS \m/. Guess he figures its just as disrespectful when Tom played blink songs with Angel's, but jesus this band just keeps getting more and more shit with Mark at the helm. They're a running parody of themselves.
