  1. AvA is a passion for Tom. He has like music A.D.D. and can't stick to just one band like Blink, even if it is (and always will be) the more profitable and popular. We learned this with Boxcar: 1 album, 1 tour. He had to get it out of his system you know? If it's not AvA, he'll start something else. Seems to be how he is. He can carry on with AvA forever for all I care, as long as Blink is part of his life as well.
  2. Why would this piss people off....Travis is doing another side project with a DJ I kind of skipped the article myself and clicked on the side article which was titled: Travis Can't Wait To Record New Blink LP
  3. altpress.com also has those dates up. Can't believe they're hitting up the major Canadian cities except Montreal. Blink sold out here in August and every tour from AvA has been to Montreal, what gives now?
  4. Dumpweed's intro will always be my #1.
  5. Saw a message about not comparing blink to metallica because metallica has a large repertoire of songs that everyone can recognize? Umm....so does blink. Metallica may have more albums out than blink, but blink also has quite a few under their belt where they can rotate more than the same 24 songs. And it doesnt matter if blink broke up for 5 years, its not like their songs are hard to play lol And I'm not complaining, my original post was just how Mark led us on to believe that with all the songs that they rehearsed/setlists he was creating, i was expecting more changes. (ex: remember the tweet where M+Ms was replaced by Happy Holidays, You Bastard?) hey, maybe they will change stuff at the end of the tour, but theyre what, 20 shows in and playing the same list every night. Metallica has played 66 different songs on their tour to change things up which is cool for both the newer fans and the more hardcore fans. blink has plenty of hits theyre not playing/omitting from their setlist. if they threw in Pathetic or something like that once in awhile, it would be a nice little wink to the pre-enema of the state fans. I guess they're just keeping the setlist real general so everyone can appreciate the shows.
  6. Hate to break it to you but I saw the American Idiot tour twice... one of the early shows - Montreal the first time through, and one of the last shows, Ottawa, the sets where identical and the banter between songs was identical. Apparently their new tour is an exact copy of the AI tour just insert songs from 21st Century Breakdown, which is why I skipped it when they hit Ottawa this time. As for Blink, from what I have seen as set lists being posted they have 2/3 set-lists that have minor changes, as for the jokes... there are only so many ways you can tell Tom he has a wierd tiny dick.. I understand that, I'm just saying I feel like Mark led us on to believe that the sets were going to be changing more or even longer than what it has been. Remember when he had a hard time cutting down the sets? And he said there might be multiple setlists? And as for Green Day, if you see recent sets a chunk does remain the same but they still play an average of 10 more songs than Blink does, with their Madison Square Garden show topping out at 37 songs. and when they do a few surprises, its more rare songs like Scattered, Going To Pasalacqua and J.A.R. and not what blink does which is just switching Violence with Easy Target or Going Away To College with Don't Leave Me you know? Im in no way saying I prefer Green Day to blink-182 in any way, but they seem to put a little more thought/songs into their set.
  7. You need to download a program to open them. Search for either Winzip or Winace.
  8. Odi - Fantastic job covering this album. I love how you don't just play the same riffs on an acoustic guitar but come up with something fresh and make it your own. Amazing, keep it up.
  9. Now that the tour is well under way and I ended up seeing the show in my city (in Montreal, which was incredible) I have to say I am disappointed in one aspect: it's getting kind of boring. Let me explain. Don't get me wrong, theres tons and tons of fans who havent seen the show yet, and they will not be disappointed one bit. But i find theres one downside. It just seems to me that Mark twittered about different setlists, changing up songs a bit? I read a comment in the tour boards about someone who went to 2 shows and said that even some jokes were the same. Same songs night after night, now the jokes are getting similar? Hey im as happy as any one of you with this reunion and tour, but am I the only one kinda let down about this? it seems like theyre simply taking the same show to a different city. i dunno, the way Mark spoke about the songs they rehearsed and the setlists he made, i thought it would be a little more fresh than how it is now. whether you like the band or not, I see Green Day playing on average 30+ songs a night on their current tour and blink is busting out the same 23, one of which is a drum solo. im not really concerned or worried, just wanted to hear people's thoughts about this and if anyone wondered the same thing.
  10. id have to go with All of This. Forget that song man, completely.
  11. My mom actually likes some Blink, my Dad not so much. He doesn't hate them, it's just not his style. He calls them "Blink-Blink" just to bug me though lol
  12. even though both are extremely important and are the reasons why blink-182 are what they are today, i voted the friendship aspect because I never see a band like them on interviews or on stage. take a band like green day. when they play live it's the billy joe show. he has complete control over the show and the crowd, but he does it alone. you watch almost any other band play live and no one has the chemistry mark, tom and travis have. TONS of bands try to imitate it, but when i see a band like all time low (who really don't bother me like many other people) screw around on stage and in interviews, it only reminds me how blink is the only band to have started that. playing songs and screwing around.
  13. You're opinion is wrong. how can i be wrong?? when its my opinion! there is no right or wrong, its what i think No no Aria had it right...that opinion is wrong lol He has a major influence as any other of the three, but to call him the life and soul of blink when he was the original cause of destruction, is wrong. But that topic had been debated plenty of times before, so let's stick to the thread topic
