  1. Tbh, I don't think they care how they're viewed. Sure, they hated Tom's style, but as long as their music is "fast, fun, melodic, everything blink-182 is," I don't think they really give a shit how they're viewed. Otherwise their setlists might be a different story. They're basically a legacy act as is. Adding deep cuts pre-1999 would make them look better, in my view.
  2. I didn't even recognize this was Feldmann. It is, isn't it? Ooooh. Dark hair, charcoal sweater/white button up combo, black pinstripe pants, Telecaster. Very dark record, indeed.
  3. This is Mark on an empty tank, speeding down the highway, running only on fumes. John Feldy refusing a refill, but Mark is cool with it.
  4. I'm too lazy to research. How old are you? Nobody dies
  5. 2004: Listened to All The Small Things on my GTA Vice City custom radio station. I don't even know who told me the song title or how I obtained the mix disc. 2009: High School freshman, got hella into Cheshire, Dude Ranch, Enema, TOYPAJ, self titled. First real dive into blink. 2011: Music taste changed and I hated blink, but enjoyed Up All Night single 2015: Totally out of touch with blink. College junior, drunkenly decide to see what the boys have been up to. Check out Dogs Eating Dogs and Neighborhoods. Fall back in love. Here I am.
  6. The California part is fucking hilarious, they just needed to actually show SpongeBob labeled as Tom.
  7. I'd like to partly attribute the difference in lyricism to the fact that these are two very different musical projects. That being said, Mark has been absent as a songwriter since like 2006. I don't think he has anything to write about anymore. Also Feldman's approach to writing lyrics is the polar opposite of how Mark described his process.
  8. That's absolutely true about Mark being the glue. I've always considered Mark to be the heart and Tom to be the soul. Right now we don't have Tom and we only halfway have Mark.
  9. I'm one of those guys who enjoyed The Dream Walker, so I hope not. All things considered, he probably won't make any substantial return to music. I'm pretty sure his life has taken a totally different trajectory over a decade ago, and he just revisited the business for a short time. I think Tom knew that the band wanted a commercial revitalization (over artistic), and just dipped out before Feldy entered. He'll probably do small projects here and there, but never perform live regularly again.
  10. Yep, because I had just recently discovered Neighborhoods and DED after forgetting blink after the Up All Night release. Dove into The Dreamwalker like crazy, even though I knew Skiba was in the new lineup. I anticipated Bored to Death so much. I remember the apartment I lived in at the time, the courses I was taking, my development as a person, my family dynamics. It hasn't really been that long, but it sort of has.
  11. Podesta is a piece of shit. I hope you didn't think much of him in the first place.
  12. After being a fan for 15+ years, Neighborhoods and DED have been my absolute favorites. It's an absolute shame we won't hear any more of that sound.
  13. Maybe I'm stubborn, but I still refuse to believe Mark or Matt wrote more than 80% of California. I just think that Feldmann wrote most of it, for whatever reason.
  14. Please Take Me Home and Online Songs are the two greatest songs on that damn album.
  15. I was in a band with 4 other dudes. I can tell you that our recording engineer was absolutely a staple in the album he produced for us. I think Jerry Finn played a much larger role than most of us imagine. Blink was in the studio with this guy constantly, crafting ideas and sounds. It's really a bummer that he passed so soon.
