Nice to actually have live songs that actually sound somewhat decent from that 2013 period. I remember the streams of blitzcon whatever it was called sounding horrid.3 points

Yeah, like the other reply said, it's definitely a mixed bag. All the bootlegs range from horrible to awesome. I'll go through them and pick out the best sounding ones though, if you want. I'm at work so I have nothing better do... because I don't feel like actually working.2 points

I can totally see Tom coming back to blink at some point. I don't think it will be soon, but I think it will happen. I also don't think Tom is as crazy as you guys think. Yeah he gets very excited and passionate about silly things, and he doesn't really follow through with most things, but that doesn't mean he's crazy or mentally unwell. He might not be the smartest, but I don't think he's an idiot. I honestly think he probably just has extreme ADHD, and can't focus on one thing long enough to finish it. With that being the case, it's actually impressive what he has accomplished and released over the last decade. Not that it's been great stuff that appeals to me, but he's put out multiple albums, made a fucking movie (I thought it was extremely boring, but still), has released novels and comics and short films, and has gotten to live his dream of studying UFOs. He might not be doing what I want him to be doing, or putting out the content that I want to see, but I think what he's done is fairly impressive regardless, even if it doesn't appeal to me. I'm still pissed off about a lot of things he's done. I'm mad that he didn't record that 2015 blink album that he was contractually obligated to work on. I'm annoyed that he wouldn't record neighborhoods in the same room as Travis and Mark. He has promised a million things that never happened. But, eh. Maybe I've just detached myself a bit from blink-182 in the past couple of years, so it's easier for me to not hold a grudge or really care much about that stuff anymore. Yeah, it sucked, but whatever. I'd still love to spend a day with Tom, just hang out, talk about aliens, talk about music, make stupid jokes, etc... He was one of my heroes growing up, and he still kind of is. Turns out I'm a Tombot!2 points

btw I just saw Alkaline Trio live last week and Matt was awesome. The thing is, Matt's not a banter guy. He was more comfortable talking about random stuff onstage with Dan, but there wasn't much of it, and if it doesn't happen with Alkaline Trio, it's not gonna happen with blink. The days of funny blink banter at shows are gone, at least to the extent that it used to happen. But Matt put on a hell of a show with Alkaline Trio. He played great, and he sounded great. I think if we're seeing blink live now with the hopes that Matt is going to be just like Tom, we'll never be happy with it. But Matt is great in his own way.2 points

Hi guys! I've been collecting Blink bootlegs for years and have always wondered why there wasn't a site that had them all in a nice little package. So recently, I started compiling all of my bootlegs (and even got some more) and have been adding them all to a Bandcamp page for other fans out there to stream/download. I'm still nowhere near done (still need to upload Skiba era bootlegs and such) but there's over 130 bootlegs already uploaded! Only 300 downloads are allotted each month on Bandcamp, so please don't be greedy and just download the ones you really want/don't have, otherwise stream as many as you want! https://blinklegs.bandcamp.com/ Enjoy! PS: If you have any that I don't have (including +44 and AVA), please shoot me a PM with a link and I will get them uploaded (just make sure the file includes the date and place of the show so I know where to squeeze it in)1 point

heres the diner from first date from the very beginning and when theyre hanging out out back of it https://www.google.ca/maps/@49.2246738,-122.9401026,3a,75y,291.53h,88.01t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sVFPXNVF7qTH4PjRlDqMoyg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en the go kart track in first date was also right next to the water park but theyre gone now1 point

Man that 2013 bootleg is fucking great. They don't sound great of course but I love that I can actually hear everything on it.1 point

Someone posted some pages from blinks notebooks from the untitled recordings. Theres one of feeling this where "we can leave when we want to" is crossed out and instead its "last year it was warmer". I dont know why but i found that funny. Thankfully they didnt keep it that way1 point

The music video for ATST was shot at Van Nuys Airport and Santa Monica State Beach, according to Wikipedia.1 point
-
The original "Josie" video was filmed on the backlot of Universal Studios so I didn't include that one.1 point
-
Would be really cool to add maybe the location of the original video for Josie ? Great work by the way !1 point
-
I've tried finding the locations for ATST but have failed... As for Always, I Miss You, and Up All Night, I believe those 3 were all filmed on studio backlots or sound stages so there isn't really a way to find the specific locations. And as for SOOHM, I don't really see much of a point in doing that one since the band isn't even in the video.1 point
-
Well done! I wish I knew they were filming First Date close to where I live, I would have tried to be an extra for it. The water park has since shut down and then was recently re-opened under a new name. Are you planning on doing ATST, I Miss You, Always, UAN, and SOOHM?1 point

It's not actionable. Media runs on a different set of standards than personal. Plus you have to show intent. If the guy knowingly reported fake news in order to intentionally damage TTS, then MAYBE. But you'd have to show specific damages. Like "We didn't get that $500K donation specifically because this story ran". Tough to prove. Tom has no case.1 point

All he needs to do is churn out 5-10 good riffs every 3 years and a summer on the road. Even his washed up, mentally ill ass should be able to excel at this for several million dollars.1 point
-
Only way Tom comes back anytime soon is if Skiba quits or if they allow Tom to join them as a foursome. Mark, Tom, Travis, and Matt with a producer would end up being amazing. Tom still has good little riffs and progressions, he just needs someone to tell him to fuck off when he starts experimenting beyond that.1 point
-
Trav/Mark are doing just fine though, and I don't think they'll care too much about Tom's financial troubles that he caused himself. The only way I honestly see Tom coming back is if something would happen to Skiba (either tragic or he just gets sick of the spotlight and bails). At which point we'd have an awkward 2-3 year span of nothing, and then *maybe* a "Hey we can cash in on an Untitled 20 reunion tour and retire" comeback with Tom. It's a legal divorce. If you divorced your ex of 20 years, did everything to get her out of your life, were happily remarried and doing great...Would you give a shit if your ex came calling saying that she needed money because of stupid decisions she made that led to your divorce?1 point
-
I still contend that (i could be wrong) that Tom isn't as crazy as he is just stubborn and convinced by his own ego. If he was doing this stuff on the side while playing in Blink right now or even full time AvA, nobody would bat an eye. But instead, people keep telling him to go back to Blink (something he's quit twice and made very clear he just doesn't want to do) and telling him his dreams are stupid. Regardless of whether they are or not, he seems to have good intentions. Sometimes he seems like a scammer, other times I think he's more just stupid. It's like his comments in Start the Machine about "I want to change how music is sold" etc. He just genuinely thinks he's a genius who's coming up with radical ideas because he succeeded once in his life (Blink) by being himself and believing he could do it. Throw in some pills for back pain and baby, you've got a stew going. or he's entirely nuts. hard to tell.1 point
