Pearl used to be a brewery but it’s been converted to like a farmer’s market, community thing. It’s cool enough, some really good restaurants there but, again, stupid expensive.
I have never been to the tea gardens, so I have no idea honestly. The botanical garden, Brackenridge park, and the San Antonio zoo are all right there in that same area so it’s worth a trip. Your theme parks are on the other side of town … Seaworld sucks, if you get the chance go to Fiesta Texas.
One last thing, it’s hot, real hot. Sunscreen and water.

Restaurants: Boudro’s is good but expensive, Domingo is good too but, again, pricey. Everything on the Riverwalk is gonna be good overly expensive. El Castillo is pretty good a not as pricey but I think it’s a bit off the riverwalk.
Most of your family things to do are gonna be off the riverwalk a bit … Do-seum, Legoland, Morgan’s Wonderland, etc. The Alamo and a few of the missions are close but may be a little boring for kids. Same thing with Pearl Brewery, it’s a cool spot but more of an adult thing.

I asked about it and this was my mom’s response:
“Our energy bill hasn’t exceeded $120 since we got them. We pay a monthly loan payment plus an extra $75 to pay it down faster. You get a city rebate and an IRS rebate that equals about $9k of Im remembering right. We used the rebates to pay down our loan. I think we owe less than $10k on a $30k loan now. I think the thing that helped us most was new ac and roof plus the UV window screens we installed. And remember there are other charges like gas that are in our CPS bill.”
To me it doesn’t seem all that worth it but they seem to feel alright about it.
