So far there's no word that Alk3 are pulling out of their tour but I'm keeping my eyes peeled. I really fucking hope not we've booked hotels and stuff. From what I'm seeing, the UK is the only place where gigs are going ahead and there's barely any restrictions. AVA probably had to cancel because they also had dates in Germany etc etc. I'm sure that as it stands the Alk3 tour is happening.

prankerd14
Toms a joke, im guessing they cancelled because they didnt plan the tour properly, they didnt even sell out Birmingham! Where as alkaline trio planned their venues properly and did smaller more realistic venues... Im sure england went to like zero restriction last week looks like im going to watch trio and bowling for soup instead ..

People on the AVA movement group claim that this tour didn't sell well and Tom used covid as an excuse to cancel, but I have no idea. Maybe they're saying this just because they're mad at Tom for ripping them off with the Empire Club. 1

Ghent
I mean if he can only get shitty club shows in the US then the European Tour was gonna be brutal unless festival dates or opening for someone big. Time to put that band to bed
theedge00
Still 1.2M listeners/month on Spotify… that’s decent I guess?
Here I am, chorus in a Can
AvA comes out of nowhere with a 2 year late album and still gets traction. AvA, the band known for the Adventure 10+ years ago. Tom went on Rogan once and posts nonsense in a ford trucker hat and dirty white T shirt on his Instagram sporadically about his upcoming music. He's getting results above what I'd expect out of that tbh. Surprised AvA gets any hype these days. Surprised Tom is even relevant at all with the effort he puts out.

That’s the complete opposite of coming out of nowhere.

twentytwenty
I read it's because of the germany dates, not england.
Rickay
Fwiw the date I was going to was sold out and it wasn’t a small venue, 2.5k people.
Russel Coight
Whole thing seems suss aye. Why not just postpone rather than cancel? No word from Tom about it all either.

Based on Matts’s latest Instagram post he is already in the UK so can’t see them cancelling it now.
Rickay
Trio were only playing UK shows anyway right? Should definitely go ahead then assuming they’re all fully vaxxed…maybe that’s why Matt has arrived early though 👀

Russel Coight
23 minutes ago, Rickay said: Because you have to isolate for 10 days if not vaxxed Ah right, that makes sense. Not familiar with the UK border/vax rules. Well let’s hope that’s not the reason and he’s just keen for a little holiday before the tour. Couldn’t imagine Mark, with all his health concerns, wanting to spend time in close quarters with someone anti-vax. Actually I am now remembering Mark mentioning that Matt was very strictly following the quarantine/lockdown rules early in the pandemic. Can’t imagine somehow who follows those rules so strongly to be anti-vax but who knows?Definitely a chance it could be the case.
