NotNow
Just listened. All in my head can go straight to the bin. No fun rules though. Just wish it got the full song treatment and didn’t feel unfinished. That intro is awesome don’t care what anyone says. If it was just synth noises I get it but it’s a full verse from Tom that sounds really cool. I just imagine Travis saying though okay you can have your artsy intro but that means you don’t get a bridge and final chorus because we have to keep the song under 3 minutes. 1

Too abrupt, almost cut and paste like... Yeah Travis is the definition of cheating on your test to get into a better college or lying on your resume. He basically found some hacks how to be like Finn or Feldmann with some shortcuts and runs with it. FFS Mark is a better producer. Why on God’s green earth is Travis producing. Elite Takes - this is jan
Is All In My Head a play on words like penis? That would give the lyrics a bit more meaning. Is this common knowledge and I’m just slow to it here?
Russel Coight
I don’t hear anything wrong with the transition into the first chorus. Don’t base assumption on those Twitter versions, they sound like shit compared to the Spotify ones.

Guessing they recorded the audio from Spotify or whatever with a microphone rather than actually ripping it. They sound SO much better on Spotify. Obviously still the same songs but fuck way less tinny drums and just everything.
allsystemsgo
The FLAC versions sound great on my cars speakers 👍

But it’s not just the drum sounds man, it’s everything about Travis production just feels ‘cheap’ to me. It’s Very Feldmann-esque. But with more sourdough effects added in. They are pretty good songs is why it bothers me so much. I can’t help but think how much better this could all even be with an outside producer. It’s obvious why your drummer being the producer is a conflict of interest. Especially one who’s an attention whore. It’s only worked on like Terrified so far for whatever reason. MassKirbycide
Finally listening to the songs on Apple Music now that they’re out in the states. Still kinda meh on All in My Head, but I’m loving No Fun now that I can hear it with good sound quality and notice all the little details. I do wish it had a bridge/final chorus, but it’s still a kickass song
thecurseofchris
Love the All In My Head chorus. I feel like it's missing something though, which makes it feel unfinished. Same with No Fun. But like others have said, I'll take it over no new music at all. Just want the boys to solidify themselves again and go back to the studio after this cycle and feel like they can break new ground as band again.
allsystemsgo
NO FUN chorus slaps. AIMH has nice verses, I like the little palm muted riff.
George R. Binks
I feel like we’ve heard every single element of AIMH from blink before. From the song structure to every single drum beat, fill, and buildup. Lyrics are lame. I can understand more now what Boxelder was alluding to earlier. Will have to give No Fun more listens, sounded alright. Takes me few listens until I can soak most songs in. Blink182acti0n
The chorus on no fun was kinda a let down, sounds to familiar to something Tom has done before, but I’m happy there is a catchy guitar riff finally.
Elite Takes - this is jan
The highlights are easily Mark’s verse on AIMH sounds legit like pulled from +44 for a brief second. Then the No Fun little guitar riff obviously. Luckily the drums were turned down compared to OMT, but the song structures themselves feel like Cali/Nine again. I like the intros personally, even if they’re just them masturbating in the studio. “On the couuucchhh!” actually makes me laugh a bit. Surprised at the No Fun love, considering it’s heavy AvA. mr mister
Good songs, I like them! Just sell me a CD, please! I still listen to Cali/Nine, lots of great tracks. Skiba did a good job, at least in the studio.
allsystemsgo
Mark's bass on NO FUN is super catchy. Seems fun to play.
