I think I hate rock music

They're more like classic Jamaican reggae/ska than the Two tone/3rd wave stuff.

FOB was my favorite band for a minute. The first time I saw them live (2004) was with a relatively small crowd of mostly dudes moshing at Warped Tour. A year later the crowd was huge & mostly girls my age & younger…no more moshing….and every time after was the same. When EVERYONE liked them, I got a little Thongy about them.
Take This To Your Grave still makes me super happy though, idc. 
I also enjoy Sublime.

I use this type of expression often…it’s typically something like, “that was very Heather of you,” when someone walks into a cupboard right in front of them, or does something really goofy. 🫠🤣

I think you stumbled upon 'adult oriented rock'. And yeah, kind of sucks. I don't know if we're talking about the same thing, but lots of bands, once they (sort of) end their evolution -usually due to less commercial success-, then steer again to something that wants to remember what they did in their origins, or just trying to go 'back to the roots'.

I agree. Foo Fighters went that route and I got bored of them.

yes, im not blaming you, just saying its a cringe term ppl use and cringe mindset aswell,

great music is great music it can b relativly enjoyed by anyone who connects with it

Adult oriented rock isn’t really bad though. I love listening to Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, The Police some Daryl & Oates etc.

I agree. There are tons of garbage under that label, but so is under other labels, so... yep.
