Brand New reunion

Jesse Lacey solo show turns out to be Brand New reunion show half way through. Few new songs on the set.

Not sure what's going on (no one knows), but I read that his teenage son has died and he got back into writing music because of that, it could be Brand New, solo music or even an entirely different new band according to reddit. I'm all for new music, I never stopped loving BN, but I don't think it will be easy for them to tour again, the internet doesn't forgive easily and they could be very vocal against Jesse.

Yeah right I didn’t know that about his son. I just got caught up with the hype on Reddit yesterday.

I love brand news music. Took me a while to get back into them after all the Jesse stuff but those albums were huge for me growing up so I’m definitely interested in new music.

I didn’t cancel Brand New when they got cancelled in 2017 because I was still really attached to their music, Science Fiction had just come out, and it was an absolutely insane album, but I recently realised that I actually ended up cancelling them too last year when I read that article about BN coming back with the various photos of Jesse Lacey and the underage girl.
 

Now sometimes I’ll still listen to Seventy Times 7 or other some random song that comes up in my playlists, but I’ve noticed I’ve completely stopped putting on their full albums or thinking “I’m going listen to BN today.”
Better late than never I guess.
