It was crazy fun there last night. Even just being outside with everyone vibing vibing to Taylor swift before going inside was just a real good feeling. I got last nights poster and one of the Melbourne gigs too. Shirt from Melbourne as well. Post gig blues have set in hard today haha.

finished up my 3 shows now. amazing couple weeks seeing the "real" blink for the first time. they didn't let me down at all and Olympic park in Sydney was going off this weekend with Taylor Swift playing 300m away on the same nights. was crazy got the unique poster and tshirt for each night. gonna get the posters framed

managed to get a room with a view over the front of Accor stadium so was just chilling around the precinct all weekend. the atmosphere was awesome with the Tswift shit going on. great time. saw some old friends that were there for one concert or the other. definitely got the blues now too haha

this weekend in sydney

Context: I'm a game developer who usually participates in game jams (it's like a contest to create a game within a certain timebox). I made a game that is like Mario + Pokemon: you can kill monsters or capture them. This jam started on September 2023, when we were getting snippets of the drum tracks from Travis for the OMT album. I got in love with one in particular, this one: So I decided to create a track with that same drum pattern, so I could compare the final blink-182 track with mine. It turns out the drum pattern was for Blinkwave. Guess what? In that level, I created a monster in honor of blink. And I called it Blinkwave! (By that time we knew the track list, but I didn't know that drum pattern was part of blinkwave since that song was never previewed!) Stick to the video, you will see the monster at the end. Well didn't NOFX accuse blink of having stolen the whole comedy act thing from them? The similarity here probably isn't accidental. Nothing wrong with a 30-second throwback joke song. These have always been hit-or-miss kind of a thing anyway. Hell, the joke songs on TOYPAJ sounded a lot more forced.
