  1. Very interesting interview with Steve Kravac who co-produced and engineered Cheshire Cat and talking about the recording sessions for this record!

  2. at least through 97, tom was a no pedal dude. the pic we have from the whiskey show opening for descendents in october 96 shows tom running two VL-1002's, either bridged (like fletcher in PW does with his mesas) or one on clean and one on overdrive. i assume tom recorded at least parts of dude ranch on one of his VL's because a.) it sounds like something he would do b.) trombino isn't a gear hound like jerry finn was, with dozens of amps around to try c.) they were at a rented at-home studio (big fish, encinitas, CA) that probably wouldn't have much gear anyways.

  4. A lot of these folks are approachable and totally down to chat and reminisce, sometimes it’s as simple as asking - most are flattered to be asked to come on any pod. If anyone thinks of realistic guests I should ask, as always please lmk. Mark/Trav/Tom are 100% aware of the pod, I think my best shot would be with Mark one day, but he has a “no pods” rule because he gets asked so often which I understand. (Unless of course Jim Adkins/Chris DeMakes/good friends ask lol) So just continuing to build it up until one day hopefully he wants to come on!
