madgaz182 Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 im gonan have to agree, i think , infact i know the guitars are out of tune its just plainly obvious and a bit painful to listen to Quote
:Tom: Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Yeah guitars are out of tune, or the intonation is out on one or more of them. Quote
madgaz182 Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Yeah guitars are out of tune, or the intonation is out on one or more of them. exactly what i was gonna say, but i didnt wanna sound like a guitar nerd, the guitars may well fine be in tune yet when played together they arent due to what TOM said the intonation is wrong, test it by playing the 12th fret on each string to see if it sounds the same as an open but if it dont then the intonation is wrong Quote
dildo69er Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 intonation sounds fine just checked all guitars then... Quote
dildo69er Posted February 24, 2008 Author Posted February 24, 2008 i respect everyones opinion so dont take it as me refusing to think its bad or anything im just saying it sounds a lot different as i was playing all the parts a whole step higher to give it some extra strength most people on punkdisasters liked it http://www.punkdisasters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1093401 but again thanks for your comments Quote

It's a great song and I can imagine how great it sounds with 3 guitars that are properly in tune. If you'll record it again some time I'll be happy to listen to it again! Quote
dildo69er Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 have u listened to it the whole way through?...coz ive posted the link on a guitar website punkdisasters and various other forums and this is the only place people have thought it might have been out of tune Quote
madgaz182 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 mate its out just deal with it pretty much, you sumed it up what i was thinking just didnt wanna sound like a douche Quote
bmo Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 i think you need to take out one of the guitars, its probably whats making everything sound off. two is always enough Quote
Matticus001 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 The myspace in my sig has a Cliff Diving Acoustic cover, it's my band (obviously). Quote
Dean Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with the other guys in that something there didn't sound right. It probably would've been fine if it was just 2 guitars, but with 3 everything needs to be soooo perfect for it to work, and often without any sound editing that's very difficult to do. If they were all tuned perfectly beforehand, then the intonation must've been out on one or two of them, even by just a little bit. But it was well played, and it did sound good, so props for that. Would've been nice to have some vocals in there, but I understand some people just don't do the whole singing thing Quote
