  1. It's sad that Jerry is no longer here, he knew how to work with Alkaline and he certainly knew how to work with blink. Jerry would've know how to mash the best of both bands and make something amazing but we got Feldman instead who is an absolute hack and has a very wrong idea of what blink is supposed to be.
  2. This is the real must know on the video the rest we already know 😛
  3. Conspiracy theory: Scott left blink because of this but they thought it would be lame to say this so they went for the more rockstar/punk story of him leaving because of alcohol abuse
  4. OMG i remember the long intro version of The Adventure! I don't remember Tom gasping tho. Are we talking about the same version? The one that i remember was almost 7 minutes long. Anyway, can someone pm a link of the leaked version of WDNTW and The Adventure with Tom gasping? I'd really appreciate it lol
  5. I meant what's more populary known as "emo" to most kids. I don't think the kids of the mid 2000's were bopping their heads to rites of springs or to some cassettes and vinyls of super obscure emo-violence bands from the 90's. u get my point but yeah, you're technically right 😛
  6. I mean you can't blame blink for that. Many great bands have influenced tons and tons of shitty bands, blink for sure influenced a lot bands i wish stayed in their garage but then there's the good bands like fall out boy, Paramore and PATD that released some absolute bangers back in the day. I know i made a big rant in my previous post mostly because a lot bs has been said in this thread and i had no time to quote them but i think i gave a good answer to the question with some points to back up my claims. Green Day is the bigger product indeed (keyword being product) but blink made the most impact and is far more influential which makes them the bigger and better band in my opinion.
  7. This is going to be a long post but bear with me so my choice makes sense to you while i also debunk some bs posted here I'd say blink is the most influential band of the two. They have been a major influence for the current generation of emo rappers like Juice WRLD, lil peep, lil tracy Machine Gun Kelly, nothing.nowhere, Jumex, XXXTentacion etc; those guys are super big with the generation z. Let's not forget the major influence they had in the pop punk and post hardcore scene of the 2000's and in the first wave of emo, like c'mon guys are we going to ignore the fact that pretty much every pop punk band of the 2000's were literally trying to do Tom's voice? no one was doing the "billie joe" but a lot of bands of the time were doing the Tom Delonge for sure. Green Day was always a product, billie joe and tre literally lost weight so they could look nice on their MCR knock-off uniforms they were wearing during the AI era, they also went full political at the time because it was the thing at the time to shit on Bush, so if anything they did the "how's it going fellow kids" thing way before blink did which they did until the Cali era so don't go there. Why is Green Day the bigger band mainstream wise yet less influential than blink? easy, blink is a more honest band (until cali at least) when it comes to song writing, they have music people can relate to in their highschool days up until adulthood; partying, having fun with your friends, depression, break ups, having to face the hardships of adulthood and being clueless about it, marriage... they pretty much have a song or an album for almost every facet of life, they are relatable and have distinctive playing styles and voices. When it comes to skills billie is a better guitarrist than Tom BUT being more skilled doesn't make you a better musician, Tom is FAR more creative than billie is and can create absolute magic with his guitar, billie can fire up crowds, scream heeeyy hooo, play solos and run around the stage all he wants but he can't touch Tom as a musician. Mike and Mark are pretty even when it comes to skills, and Tre is light years away of being as good as Travis, no one thinks of him when they need a skilled drummer to play with them and is less skilled and creative than Travis. Is Green Day bigger than blink? Sure, they're the bigger product but the thread is about which band made the most impact and to me the fact that blink has been able to influence at least 3 generations of music and being pretty much worshipped as "emo gods" by the current generation speaks volumes, they crossed genres and generations.
  8. Are you guys on crack or what? how in the world are And I and There Is better than WTW? damn
  9. pretty much. idk i just didn't like the whole thing at all, like why the fuck are you ripping off the white stripes... in 2020!? it sounds super dated tbh. Let's be honest, GD is a band with very good musicians that have been creatively stagnant for almost 2 decades sound-wise, when they finally attempt to change the sound the best they could do was bringing back a dead sound from the grave so they pretty much stayed the same, "nothing new". Sorry boys but you should stick with being the ACDC of punk rock.
  10. This album is... really, REALLY bad. The worst thing i've listened this year so far, easily.
  11. Thanks for the info! i wonder why lemmings didn't make it to the uranus ep, it would've been cool
  12. So i made a playlist using my favorite songs from cali deluxe and NINE just for the giggles and it's surprising how good some of these songs flow together, loved the flow from TFT to Heaven especially. What would be your perfect blink-182 album using cali deluxe and NINE? here's the playlist i made btw
  13. just another question, other than waggy, wrecked him and zulu, were any other songs recorded during the uranus sessions? c'mon man, you gotta share those demos
  14. Most of those demos were also on the buddha promo tape, right?
  15. Cynical < The First Time (NOFX song ft. matt skiba and mark hoppus < song that actually sounds like blink) Bored To Death > Happy Days She's Out of Her Mind < Heaven Los Angeles < Darkside Sober < Blame It On My Youth Built This Pool < Generational Divide (both are dumb and souldn't be on their respective albums but BTP is dumber) No Future < Run Away HISALP < Black Rain Kings of the Weekend < I Really Wish I Hated You Teenage Satellites < Pin the Grenade Left Alone < No Heart To Speak Of Rabbit Hole > Ransom (don't like those but i had to pick one) San Diego < On Some Emo Shit The Only Thing That Matters > Hungover You California < Remember to Forget Me Hey I'm Sorry > Out Of My Head
  16. It sounds like a Four Year Strong Song
  17. If @daveyjones @Donald Trump's Bulge and @Scott. like it it means blink did good this time I hope it becomes a trend and blink keeps delivering good stuff also, am i the only one who enjoys those little trap/hip-hop beats on some of the songs? i'm glad to see the boys getting with the times and see travis influences shine
  18. Will the scrapped feldman tracks ever be released? I'm curious to listen to what they were recording before NINE, they should release them all in 2 EPs or something. Also, correct me if i'm wrong but i remember reading blink recorded a song with some rapper, am i crazy or something?
  19. Can we all agree that Heaven is fucking awesome? ❤️ this is the closest we've ever got to a +44 song
  20. Matt sounds like his Alk3 self on Heaven, more Alk3 vocals and less yelling pls (or no yelling at all). One track that i really hated is ransom, it started well and then the second half goes full generic NOFX "punk rawk" shit. Love the album overall and still don't get the hate for BIOMY and IRWIHY, they're both fantastic in my opinion. P.S: Skip the "flac" copies, they're all fake. We'll have to wait until release date for proper cd quality.
  21. Am i the only one who feels this is the right time for Tom to rejoin the band? it may sound weird but tom and mark are kinda on the same page at the moment, musically at least. With mark doing all this "synth-pop" stuff with SC and Tom has been implementing lots of synths with AVA, Travis colaborating with lots of cloud rappers in recent years making beats and stuff, i feel like something awesome could come out of a new blink record as soon as they keep it real. It might not be a "punk rock" record, but at least it will feel honest and real.
