Mislabeled Songs from Pirating Programs

Jenny cover was labeled as Blink-182

Seasons in the Sun label as Blink-182

[Fun, Catchy Pop-Punk]

I got into Napster around 2000-2001, the year leading up to the release of TOYPAJ. I checked Napster every single day for leaked tracks, and a bunch of people had uploaded their music and labelled it as Blink 182. Being a naive 12 year old, I actually believed they were Blink. 

I'm having a hard time remembering all the titles since it was so long ago, but I remember one song was called "Highway" and the chorus was some dumb shit like "Don't take the highway, you'll see your life away" or something really bad. There were like 3-4 other songs that were just as bad. 

I always see I've Seen Better Days labelled as a Sublime song.

that bracket cover being mislabeled is quite common.

many of the "punk goes" covers are mislabeled on youtube (or they used to be). back in the napster / kazaa days most of the gimmies material was too.

I came across this band “drowning fish” and was into it a lot. Their site is so old like a time capsule to anglefire/ geosite days but the music is all available still!

Yeah, I've been looking for this band for YEARS because I remember one of the songs when I searched for AVA's It Hurts. Thanks for giving me the name! Used to legit think it was the real song then when I heard the real song, I was like nah that's not Angels & Airwaves. This is the song I'm thinking of though

Yeah I used to think this song was by Bob Marley because of this haha

When I was 9, I liked Avril Lavigne's music and we used this program called Kazaa. Searched for her song "Naked" on the program and downloaded a fake nude photo of Avril Lavigne, thinking I was downloading the song.

my friend downloaded simpsons porn and put it with my stuff once. i randomly found it and was so very confused until he later asked about it.

We used to sabotage each others iTunes. Load in whatever song or soundbite and title it as something else.

Both of these kinda reminds me of one of my friends who walked into a rock bar and then walked towards the jukebox and chose to play One Direction. It was one of those jukeboxes that literally has the whole music catalogue and not just rock, despite it being a rock bar haha. i tried the same thing in a different rock bar and wanted to choose that Hit Me Baby song by Britney Spears but the jukebox only had rock songs unfortunately.
