  2. Actually, yes, you're right, forgot about the new Christmas song. So I guess that is worse than Parking Lot and Quarantine as I actually remembered those.

  3. That's my favorite UL songs. It's a shame they don't have other songs that good.

  5. What's good about Quarantine is that Mark ended up predicting the storming of the US Capitol around 5 months before it actually happened.

  7. Not to get into a classic Diddy back-and-forth about what constitutes a "radio smash," but just to throw out some stats: it hit #11 on the Modern Rock chart and #61 on the Billboard Top 100. Billboard also said it was the second-most played song on KROQ in all of 1998 which meant quite a bit at that time. To me, that's a pretty big radio smash, especially coming from a band who was clearly not on the radio radar at all before the song came out.

  8. Awesome thanks!. There's still something wrong about that flier, maybe they got the day of the week wrong on the flier?. Could be that the show never happened? - I will let you know if I ever figure it out.

  9. 1997-03-15 Big Bear, CA - Bear Mountain Ski Resort (Board Aid 4) I've just come across these never-before-seen pictures of blink on stage at Board Aid 4 (seems like gettyimages have uploaded some old blink pictures to their galleries): Notice the cameraman on stage: Seems like the show was recorded on video! ? - Hopefully one day the video will surface online

  10. I have a different version of this flier. It's pretty similar to the one above but mine is signed by Scott and Tom. Got it from someone who attended the show at Benway Bop's record store. I also have a story to tell from that day in my records, shared by someone who attended the show. Here's the flier: This day was very special because blink played two shows on the same day. Earlier on that day they played at the Alumni Amphitheatre at the University of Las Vegas, NV 1996-04-25 Las Vegas, NV - Alumni Amphitheatre. University Of Nevada, Las Vegas My contact said to me that he attended both shows on the same day. They played at Alumni Amphitheatre and later on that evening at Benway Pop

  15. ocean avenue hands down. combines everything likable about the genre — whiny vocals, beach themes, awesome bg vocals and harmonies, classic songwriting tricks (instruments stopping in the last chorus) and more. it’s a perfect tune. but i’d be down for this. my friends over you, dammit, punk rock girl, etc … all good picks

  16. I wanted to share this picture from my archives folder, an unseen picture of the Enema of The State photoshoot with Janine Lindemulder! Found cool story about a photo that was used in Cheshire Cat : https://mahi.ucsd.edu/kkey/more.html This photo of my old roomate Brian was used by the punk band Blink-182 on their first cd "Chesire Cat". I lived with Brian and Blink's guitarist, Tom Delonge, in a San Marcos apartment. We put Brian inside a cardboard box with his legs sticking out the back. This shot was done in our dinning room. Brian popped the lenses out of his sunglasses and smeared vaseline on his face to make himself shiny. And of course, he's wearing a wig. Brian currently has this great job testing video games for Bally-Midway.
