I don’t have a hard on for Green Day. If you can’t see that your opinions on OMT being so much more grately touted than Saviors are completely biased then there is no having a fair discussion with you and I can’t help you. Just because you feel that way about Green Day doesn’t mean the rest of the world does. You live in a blink-182 echo chamber and that’s totally okay, but you should be able to admit when you’re being completely blind and biased.

Dude, you're just wrong and obsessed with dying on this embarrassing over the hill band hill.  I'm pretty harsh on OMT and everything blink has done since Hoods.  Doesn't change the fact Green Day is extremely cringe and mediocre for an even longer time.  I actually liked Saviors, personally.   Better than Revolution Radio, Father of all, uno dos and whatever else other shit they've done.  Better than Cali/Nine will give you that.

No, I’m not wrong. And I’m not even going to read the rest of your quote. You’re the equivilant of a “Homer” for sports teams. A Homer is defined as a fan, game official, media commentator, reporter, etc. who is biased in favor of their home team. That’s you to a tee. Period, end of discussion.

It was massive to blink fans, nobody else gives a fuck. Sorry but it’s true. And I am quite fond of OMT and listen to it a hell of a lot more than Saviors, I only know a couple songs from Saviors. OMT isn’t more popular than Saviors though, so your argument of me hating it is wrong and your argument saying I hate it because it’s popular is also wrong.

I don’t think either of them had a big impact on Society. But I stand by the fact that Jan’s comment I originally responded to is incredibly biased. It’s so biased it’s laughable. And that’d be okay if he could admit his bias

I don‘t think omt is grammy worthy. I‘ve yet to come across a non-blink fan speak fondly or even recognize the existence of that record. Same goes with the green day record though… the fontaines record deserves it imo

 

 

 

@Harry Butker i don‘t really know what‘s going on, but as someone who only comes back here from time to time, let me tell you that every time i come back your account turns more into a poor man‘s oliver. Not sure if that‘s what you‘re going for, just thought i‘d let you know since it‘s very evident when only logging in every couple weeks.

Green Day sucks dude, these are just the facts.

They came in hot and started things off but blink came in and did everything better, looked better, smelt better, better guitar.  Green Day’s been jealous ever since and tried to be like them just like everyone else.

We thank Green Day for starting things off for pop punk and getting some of the early awkward clunky stages out of the way and can respect them for that.  That’s as far as it goes.
