Im just saying it has this sort of clunky structure to the production now, that Part 2 doesn’t have.  I guess Neighborhoods or California would be a better comparison.  Like “wtf?” Why are blink so cursed or dumb with the production side of things when they are a multi million dollar band that can afford anybody yet they settle for the most amateur shit since Finn passed.

But it’s also slightly part of their charm.  Very flawed still despite being mega famous.

It sounds like any other pop production you hear on the radio

Haha it's a funny comparison between their production "issues" over the years (just my perception obviously):

Dude Ranch - We care about the songs a ton, no need to get fancy in the studio.

Neighborhoods - We don't know how to work together anymore and we don't feel comfortable spending time together so fuck it, good enough, just get it out.

California - We are solely focused on being viewed as The Kings Of Pop Punk instead of has-beens, integrity be damned.

One More Time - We care about the songs a ton, Travis is gonna make us sound modern, oops he pushed all the faders to 10 and it's due at the label in 5 minutes.

It is weird that Dude Ranch doesn’t sound better. It’s not like Mark Trombino was an amateur at that point. He produced things that were a lot more polished. I’d say that maybe they were going for that sound but Tom is on record saying that Enema was the first record that sounded exactly the way he wanted it to sound.

OMT does not sound like any other pop production you hear on the radio.  Pt 2 maybe. OMT, no. Neighborhoods, no.  No band has their drums as loud as Travis does on OMT, sorry.

Dude Ranch is absolutely perfect and I'm tired of Jan slandering it.

Dude Ranch is my favorite album you dimwit.

That’s weird because last I knew, there are more elements to OMT and pop songs on the radio other than just the drums.

Sorry Diddy,

Everyone Everywhere is a VERY close second and I think Can’t Go Back is a fantastic song, but if you’re forcing me to pick one it’s One Night Stand thru and thru.  Hope I get some Tom OooOoos on the popo sirens ;)

Take me in that high huh? 😏

I think the people that say it sounds bad blame it on the mix. It's an extremely well-produced album, but it's the mix that makes it sound dirty. I feel like it's got to be on purpose to some degree. Especially considering the Dammit single sounds more polished.

And Can’t Go Back. Such a boring song that sounds like it should only be an interlude. It sounded kind of cool on tour but it’s just boring and stale. I’ll never feel the lead to listen to it again tbh

You mean the single that was remixed for greatest hits?

The song that was remixed for the single and music video and appeared on Greatest Hits.

The song that is on DR sounds exactly the same as the other songs. It wasn’t remixed until years later for the Greatest Hits album, as far as I know.

The GH one is the one from the music video.

Well then they edited the video years later to match that audio because that audio didn’t exist until GH

You never so the music video of Dammit before 2005?

A shame. Then you would've heard the TLA mix before.

I think you’re mistaken. TLA remixed Josie too. It was for the GH record. They clearly just swapped the damnit audio to the video, it wasn’t always like that
