Damn, spoken like a true gentleman with conviction. I’m scared, and I will back down. lol

I'm pretty sure if an artist knows a song is going to be the single, they will mix it differently.  More effort, more polishing, etc.

As a side note, I think the "radio edit" in the case of Dammit was meant to remove "fuck" and include the drum buildup in the beginning

I agree with OMT being harsh on the ears.  I can't settle into most songs.  For example, for Anthem Part 3 I have to brace myself and be in a certain mood to get myself through it.  Whereas for Every Other Weekend i can cruise in my car, day dream, and feel great.

And Can’t Go Back. Such a boring song that sounds like it should only be an interlude. It sounded kind of cool on tour but it’s just boring and stale. I’ll never feel the lead to listen to it again tbh

Cool story, want to share it again?

It’s even more boring than fighting the gravity

Impossible, Fighting The Gravity isn’t boring in the slightest

It is weird that Dude Ranch doesn’t sound better. It’s not like Mark Trombino was an amateur at that point. He produced things that were a lot more polished. I’d say that maybe they were going for that sound but Tom is on record saying that Enema was the first record that sounded exactly the way he wanted it to sound.

i think it must have been an issue with the facility they recorded in. because it was obvious they weren't happy with the original recordings, because they went back to re-record scott's drums after the fact. in the joe shooman book (the only time this is mentioned), it's reported that they asked "Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise to find someone to remix a few tracks from the album, and he suggested Donnell Cameron of Track Recording Studios. The band went in to Track and re-recorded Raynor's drum tracks for several songs." then of course some months later they commissioned lord-alge to remix the two singles.

If you did you’d know they need to be washed and we wouldn’t call you Stinky Nuts behind your back!

TLA should've remixed the entire album.

Growing up, we’d stick our hand in your face and ask “what’s my butt smell like?” And see if you’d take a sniff. Whether we wiped our hand up our ass or balls or not was never known. You’d take the sniff, wouldn’t you?
