This kind of 180 is comparable to JD Vance calling trump hitler and then suddenly being his VP.

Except.. it's calling Trump your BFF at the time and then calling him Hitler.  You have it flipped.  I'm in in the right here. ❤️

You would have said 2-3 if this was what you meant my guy

Nah, pretty sure I even corrected it at the time.  Read the full post.

I haven't soured on anything it's called not staying in a perpetual honeymoon phase? Like come on guys.  You can get excited about something and then settle into reality more after that's passed have a new perspective and still appreciate it.  It just shows how great their heydey was.

You said One More Time was the songbird of our generation.

Nah I never liked the song One More Time as much as everyone else did. You're imagining things.  Album was good.

4 piece doesn’t make sense unless Matt is just going to play backup guitar for 99% of the setlist which would be songs he wasn’t a part of

Yeah I assume that will be the only time it ever happens, which is appropriate, and still a really cool moment in Blink history.

Becoming an actual 4-piece would throw the entire fragile ecosystem off, guaranteed haha.

I could have seen it maaayyyybe working if Tom rejoined when Skiba was still in the band, but I still wouldn't have been holding my breath for any good music to come out of that lineup. Too many cooks, too little chemistry. A one-time live appearance is perfect.

Yea, it just doesn’t make sense. If it were a 4 piece they’d have to tour solely on music they create together as a 4 piece but we know that wouldn’t make sense either as blink’s legacy is them with mark, Tom, and Travis and being a 3 piece. It’s awesome it happened but a full time 4 piece is a bad idea that will never come to fruition

I'm fine with them always bringing him out live if in same area for some Cali covers.  That's about all they need.  4-piece would be crazy trying to balance 3 vocalists..?  Nah

Make a few tracks together sure call it a side project/EP would be cool.  Different name this time.

California>OMT>Nine for me

California is on par with OMT but I wouldn’t say it’s better. Not mad at the take though. What I do laugh at is all of the sheep who cried about California for the production and Feldmann, who have nothing to say about the production of OMT. They’re the same album, just one has Matt and one has Tom

I think people overestimate the “fragile ecosystem” these days. Think it’s been proven time and time again that things are absolutely great in the blink camp. They’re doesn’t seem to be any egos or issues hanging around at all these days.

I mean we just had Tom Delonge drop his guitar onstage and hug his replacement as they played a song from the albums Tom wasn’t apart of. Not to mention b playing a boxcar song live too.

Shits fucking great.

Doesn’t change the fact that 99% of blink’s popular songs are with just Tom and Mark. Making them a 4 piece permanently doesn’t make sense any way you slice it

Disagree completely.

Sure as a one off it's a fun thing but throw all four of them in into a full-time band with an extra frontman and it could throw the dynamic off.

The best music they've ever made is with Mark, Tom and Travis. I think they can do the odd cameo here and there when the time is right bit the four of them as a full time band just wouldn't work. They're at their most organic when they are the the post Rayner trio.

That post was more in regards to the overall state of the band these days and not if they became a 4piece. Just that I don’t really see it as a fragile ecosystem anymore. Everybody’s chill.
