Yeah I don't know what Oliver is talking about California or NINE dragging us through the mud. California came out before that tour and it was a proper album tour with proper album theming. They met their schedule, did the media stuff right, and executed the whole thing as planned. It reminded me what a real band felt like again.

Now we're kind of stuck in the middle. No one knows what's going on because the band won't do media. It's a snooze besides the awesome shows

What do you mean, Travis just did a goat interview with Alabama!

I saw she named SOOHM as the second most iconic blink song to I Miss You, in her opinion. ♥️

it isn't just about Tom either.  Like I've droned on and on about on this board, the Untitled recording process ruined Mark and Travis as well.

Hate or love the Skiba era, Feldman got shit done.  Feldman wrote songs, scrapped songs, wrote more, did press etc and toured.  Skiba gets the boot and all of a sudden we're back to delays and pushed back release dates, with a single that's a year old.

Huh, I don't remember that at all. My memory is fuzzy (percs) but I remember endless delays, especially with California, and when they did finally release new material, they hardly played it on tour.

They scrapped an entire album before Feldman came on board and wrote it for them.

Meh, whatever. He was a saw'd off prick. Songwriter for hire. I don't really care. California was a legit disaster. On relisten, there are maybe 2 good songs on it, tops.

Although FeldmanN turned it around on NINE, but I tend to think he had less involvement with that one. I would have loved for them to continue to go in the direction of NINE with Skiba. But those looking to go back to the California days need their head examined. It was their worst album.

The Feldmann obsession that still lingers around here is so fucking weird lol

This Oliver guy has probably heard that album maybe three times tops, doesn't like blink anymore, but still has room for rage posts about a producer from 2016

Hard to believe I come back here and its like 2016 all over again where Ghent and Jarjar are all over Feldmann and California. Lord help me please!

But to get back on topic, I am not super excited for this album if Edging is the direction they are headed. I am hoping thats a one off, but I am scared its not.

Pretty sure it was Jan that brought it up again. Discussion is so tired I'm literally sick of it. Almost as bad as talking about "woke."

Anyway, Cali was a banger. That was an amazing summer

Hey Lolliver, did you know FELDMANN had writing credits on The Struts record from 2018? hehehehehehe

Whoops! Also hilarious that blink is using songwriters now, but because Tom is in the band they don't care.

This album is gonna be so good I’m sure of it.

I'm hoping for Edging vibes + riffs.  If Tom is back and engaged, give me a little something more than just octaves.

Despite my complaining about their false timeline, I actually think it's a good sign that the album was delayed. I'd rather get something that they put their all into than something hastily churned out. Still annoyed that they announced a tour for it and didn't follow through though. Collected 84 million dollars but didn't deliver fully on the promise. Shouldn't have said anything about the album if it wasn't 100% coming out then.

The delays prove they care about putting out quality imo. Not only that but they just seem to be in the best mindset about each other too. Super secure in everything that’s happened etc. They gave a shout out to atom Willard just the other night, mentioned him being in angels and now alk3 and how skiba was in blink and alk3 and how they’re all just one big messed up family. That shit wouldn’t happen first reunion when they were on eggshells the whole time. They all cool now.

Only way the album sucks imo is if they just can’t write good songs anymore. Can’t see that happening.
