One More Time… Pre-Release Discussion

I believe them when they say this is the best album they’ve made; I mean I believe that they truly believe that. It’s probably the most honest and genuine album in recent memory based on what we know so far and how the band has been operating lately. They also are probably more technically proficient with their instruments, at least Travis for sure. I’m sure they are pumped and on cloud 9 after successfully reuniting as opposed to the last 20 years of subpar Blink.

My father was able to start eating and drinking again over the past week after having a feeding tube for six weeks, and stood on his feet with a walker for a couple seconds today for the first time and I get the blink reunion song this week. Can’t wait for this song

Great news!

Haha of course. Like I've said any time this comes up, there's a wide range of reasons to give someone songwriting credits nowadays. If it turns out that they let other people literally write songs for them again, I'll be bummed and critical of that. If they just had producers/engineers/music biz people around in the studio helping facilitate and brainstorm and gave out songwriting credits because that's what you do in the modern world, I don't care at all.

I saw that Aaron Rubin got some credits for example, he's Tom's in-house engineer I can't imagine he literally wrote parts for them to use. Maybe I'm wrong though who knows!

list of songwriters from reddit:

Anthem Part Three – Aaron Rubin

Dance With Me – Nick Long, Aaron Rubin

Fell in Love – Nick Long, Ryan Tedder, Robert Smith

Terrified – Nick Long

One More Time – Andrew Goldstein, Aldae

More Than You Know – Aaron Rubin

Turn This Off – Brian Lee

When We Were Young – Brian Lee, Aaron Rubin

Edging – none

You Don’t Know What You’ve Got – Nick Long, Michael Pollack

Blink Wave – Aaron Rubin

Bad News – Nick Long

Hurt (Interlude) – None

Turpentine – Aaron Rubin

Fuck Face – Tim Armstrong

Other Side – None

Childhood – Brian Lee, Aaron Rubin

Jerry Finn would of 100% gotten song writing credits in todays world.

Is it true that when someone enters your home, they just see posters of rankings and tiers plastered over every wall?

They're in my Google docs.  And yes they've all seen them and get updates until they learn how to remove access from their gmail.

wow, that's shocking if they've collaborated again with robert smith, but i feel like it's most likely some sort of lyric reuse -- mark might drop a line from just like heaven or friday i'm in love. that type of stuff earns an immediate songwriting credit today, however small.

not surprising to see some of those collaborators back, including brian lee and nick long. shocked aaron rubin has so many songwriting credits, i thought he was more of an engineer (unless he wrote tom's lyrics for him while they recorded at home?)

I thought Nick Long was credited for Edging? He shows up on Spotify as a song writer
