happy 25 EOTS! feel like this is a thread worthy anniversary.

where were you when you first heard the album? what kind of memories do you have attached to it? give it a listen today — what sticks out to you? let’s celebrate! ? ? ?

i’d heard the singles over the years but when i first got into blink EOTS felt like a lightning strike. it’s so obviously an instant classic, full of great riffs and subject matter and hooks. travis is the key ingredient that puts the band into the stratosphere and they wisely let him control the direction on some songs. there’s not a single song that misses on this album, and the production and style is still so fresh despite it being so long ago. i feel like music from the 90s can tend to sound somewhat dated but there’s something about EOTS that sounds distinctly modern (the compression? idk).

The first time I heard this album was in my room at my desk after getting it for my birthday August of ‘99, I was 13 … I didn’t like it.

Needless to say it grew on me.

I don’t really have any memories attached to Enema. All of my nostalgiabating is reserved for TOYAJ. Enema was just a record I eventually grew to love but it didn’t hit me like TOYPAJ.

I was either 15 or 16 in and ended up buying their CDs after initially starting with AVA then going down the band rabbit hole on youtube and watching all their singles. I popped EOTS into my CD player in my room and was immediately amazed with Dumpweed intro. I'd never heard anything like it ?

The whole album was banger after banger. That's when I knew I was in!

Christmas Eve, 2001. I went around deliving CD-singles to my friends and I got EOTS as a present from my parents, and I remember listening to it when I got home from my gift-round.

I remember listening to it in the car to go bowling a few days after Christmas and I remember "Going Away to College" really hitting me.

First record I ever bought ❤️. Hearing the WMAA opening riff on MTV started my fandom. Lightning struck on 11 year old me ️ (Never was the same kid since ?)

My other favorite of the record was GAATC ?.

Never actually had Enema (I know - am I a real fan?).  But burnt it on cd and was constantly on the radio back then as well.

Didn’t get a blink CD until Toypaj, where we all got the different versions in the hood to sneak over and listen to all the bonus tracks.

Adam’s song is probably the most influential ‘pop punk’ song to me to get me obsessed with them and the genre. I remember we’d cover that song and get pissed at every drummer that couldn’t get it (which was 10x harder than anything else lol)

Anthem is one of my favorite songs now I didn’t listen to much then (such a good Tom song)

WMAA is still one of the most unique and awesome songs ever. & video.

Perfect album.

The only song to this day I still haven’t come around to loving as much as everyone else is GATC.  Many say it’s their favorite.

I think I was born 2 years late to have the same impact Enema did on so many others

I was 7 years old and my older cousin gave me Enema and TOYPAJ on cd. I remember listening to them all the time on the cd player I had. My Mom didn't want me listening to Anthem and she wasn't a fan of the lyrics in the chorus of Dumpweed haha. I would turn the volume down during certain songs so she wouldn't hear them. Aliens Exist was always my favorite song. I never liked Wendy Clear when I was younger, but it became one of my favorites when I got back into blink in high school.

I also just realized a few weeks ago that Tom and Mark alternate vocals in the chorus of Going Away To College. I don't know how I never heard Tom before, but I noticed it recently and I couldn't believe it haha.

Yea that is about as whack of a ranking anyone could possibly come up with. The three singles listed as the three best songs smh

Carousel, Dance with me and now we’re adding going away to college to the list of top tier blink songs you don’t like?

You don’t deserve this band.
