i don't think it will top self-titled, but that's because it is an EP that was recorded in a week. from what i've heard so far, it seems amazing for what it is. a step in the right direction for sure. i am confident that the full length will top self-titled though because they will spend a lot of time on it and hopefully make it flow as one solid release. i look at this EP in the same way i look at TCTCU being a precursor to Dude Ranch. It's only a small fraction of what it can and will be.

i think a lot of people might take this release too seriously and treat like it is a full length and not like it. take it for what it is, something recorded quickly to show everyone where the next release is going.

yeah, there's a lot of ava influence going on here. but that's how tom writes now. the difference being that it isn't ava at all, it's blink taking those ideas and making them good. this was most likely the direction the band would have gone after self-titled anyway.

Yeah, it's really out of tune. The first string he hits, i have no idea which one it is, but its the high one is pretty off. If you ask me, it doesnt matter, infact, it makes the song feel more generic and "real". Not overproduced and Justin Bieber-perfect. It's indie/punk-ish. It may be that weird guitar tom posted a picture of that is playing the intro and i dont think they are to easy to tune.

I listened to the song the first time yesterday and had a friend over who's a pretty good guitar player.

He heard the intro and after 3 seconds he was like - "shit that guitar is out of tune ?!"

I don't hear it but I wonder how doug or tom or any of them don't hear that? I mean damn they sell out arenas for a living..

Yeah i play both guitar and piano and i heard it directly the first time i listned to it. But, as some other people pointed out here, of course it's on purpose. They are musicians, they would hear if something was wrong
