Considering Tom hasn't wrote a good song in over 10 years, I highly doubt these rush job songs will be any good; he's only doing these to spite Travis and Mark.... and make a little cash on the side.

they won't be demos. these will all be completed songs recorded with the intent of making money and undermining Mark and Travis' attempt to continue the band.

the problem for him is that I don't think he's capable of writing good blink songs anymore.

While I agree that Tom hasn't written anything as amazing as he used to in the past decade, I won't deny that I thoroughly enjoy Neighborhoods and I think Dogs Eating Dogs is even better (which was mostly Tom's work). Saying he hasn't written anything good in ten years is a little unfair I think. The EP is great in my opinion.

I think DED sounds more cohesive and all around better than neighborhoods. Was a step in the right direction for sure. Although it was Tom-heavy, they still spent more than triple the amount of time together in the studio than they did with hoods. It shows.

Will probably be all rehashed riffs

Yeah. Neighborhoods and DED  dont really have any standout riffs. Wishing Well is the only one that sounds cool.

AVA has 2-3 riffs that I like.

On Untitled almost every song has an interesting sound.

Are we forgetting that Mark hasn't written a truly great song in ten years either? Neither has Tom, but he arguably had the best song on both Neighborhoods and DED. Much of his work in AVA has been fairly trite, but this suggestion that he hasn't written one good song in ten years is fucking nonsense.

I love AVA! One of my favorite bands!

as a lead guitarist he should be able to come up with better riffs.

He's not a good enough guitarist to do so.

I enjoy some of their music, especially the first and last albums, but much of it is well below what Tom can actually write at his best.

I agree. Tom has written more good songs in the past decade than Mark has.
