Who would of thought blink 182 weren't the most responsible guys.

Weren't you only a few weeks ago complaining about the "ignorance" of people using the word vinyls?

They committed to playing Reading and Leads with new songs off a new album...They can still honor that promise, but if they don't, it's extremely irresponsible of them.

i don't think they said "off a new album". they will write some new songs to play. i'm sure they'll keep their word.

…what does that have to do with them being responsible?

He's calling you ignorant.

And their promise to Reading and Leeds was for songs off their new album. I don't know why they would write new songs if not for an album at this point.

Okay.

Kind of an odd thing to say.

Did you just wait for some kind of grammar mistake (where was it even?) to pounce and really get me?

Yeah sure, have is more correct in that it looks better when written. So if I had said out loud, it would be alright. A little strange considering nobody has ever used vinyls. It's not a thing, at all.

"would of" is not a "thing" either according to the English language

Mistaking the plural of vinyl is far more understandable and tolerable than someone saying "would of" instead of would have or would've. "Would of" is the type of thing you'd say as a child like sgetti instead of spaghetti or pacific instead of specific.  Vinyls is just not knowing a word's plural form that you rarely make plural.

No way. They did press about it. I mean, when you do press as a band, announing something, that's official. You're taking some compromise to do something. That's how it works. If you are not consequent to what you have announced through press, you're fucked up.

Of course, you can do whatever you do, but it can hurt your credibility. Which is really important in terms of being a pro in the business.

True. But so much of what's reported in "the press" these days is little more than rhetoric. I think much of what blink has said in the press post-reunion falls under the same category as the social media stuff. It's what they're thinking and aiming to do but not any kind of solid commitment. Every band does that.

I definitely agree that they're hurting their credibility as professionals, though. I'm curious to see how Reading/Leeds pans out. There's no excuse for them to turn up without new material except their own laziness. Especially since it was announced with the confirmation of the show. In my eyes that would be a broken promise and a failure to commit.

Eh if blink really wanted to make an album(out this summer), they would be getting together right now...so far nothing but a few cock tease pics with no meaning. But instead side projects and family vacations are their priorities. All I'm saying if they reallllly wanted to they would be in that process already.

What was the purpose of "My First Punk song"?

That is a good question.  I always felt weird about that song, especially where it is on the album, just randomly smacked in the middle. Just always stuck out to me, doesn't really even feel like it belongs on that album.
