Mark gave his ranking yesterday...

That's a pretty good list, my only beef is with Dude Ranch's placement. Love that he's got Cali so high. We all know it's one of their best albums deep down

He put California (3rd) ahead of TOYPAJ, DR, and CC?! As well, he put NINE ahead of DD and CC? Yea, list void for sure! lol

It’s definitely not better than TOYPAJ or Dude Ranch Tho my man!

I can understand why Mark would place NH and CC so low, but he's fucking bonkers to put Cali above TOYPAJ and DR

I think I might enjoy Cali more than Toypaj.

How does one ride a thong, anyways? I’ve always wondered this.

Don't let Davey see this, he will burn his blink albums

it's sort of a cultural truism that artists are poor judges of their own work. and that their assessments are almost always biased towards their most recent efforts.

that said, whenever say mr. brett has been interviewed, he tends to agree with fans' sentiments about bad religion's holy trilogy, even while preferring / promoting a new album. so he'll quip "i think true north is our best record in years. probably the best since no control." or he'll joke "i think new maps of hell is great, but it's no suffer. we know that." a total honest look at the catalog, knowing what fans think. as in, brett realizes that the audience's assessment of bad religion's art trumps his own.

no dis to mark, but he (and tom) have never been backward looking. they've never respected their own legacy, or blink's fanbase appreciation of it. that's why no deep cuts / diverse set lists, no—excepting the [NINE was delayed] enema 20th cash grab—retrospective full album shows, deluxe reissues of albums, non-album / demos compilations, nothing. every other band i think of does this, if only cynically for the money. not blink. it's bizarre.

but mark's ranking makes perfect sense in this context. 100%.

California is a poor mans TOYPAJ. The lyrics in most of TOYPAJ are dumb but nowhere near as dumb as California. And TOYPAJ might be their best album instrumentally. No way California is a better album. Worst blink album for me. Nine needs to be higher. Dude Ranch needs to move to 3rd.

Eh, I wouldn't put CC much higher.  Hell, I enjoy Buddha more than Cheshire overall.  Frankly, i'm just trying to understand how he ranks California higher than Nine.  That's most baffling to me.

I'm kind of happy Mark didn't include Buddha. It would hurt to see it ranked last lol

Unrelated, Travis is in the new MGK video and an emo MGK wears a FSAS shirt a minute in.

Also, @daveyjones how many times did you see Travis live before he was in blink? Im assuming the Aquabats or his other bands played near you or opened for blink at some point.
