Let’s go back and give Rick Devoe writing credits since he inspired Rock Show and First Date.

That's basically all this album likely is going to have, at least in essence, and of course Kansas is already having a full meltdown burning down crops of wheat fields and everything people aren't relating it to Nine enough.

Well he said, he you guys need to go do something for the radio. Need something different. According to some people here that’s worthy of a songwriting credit

Pretty sure that was the record label, not DeVoe.

I think I'm past the point of caring now if they have a little bit of help writing songs. It bugged me at first with Cali, but if it's just a little thing here or there, then who really cares. This isn't the same band as it was in 1999, things change, I've moved on.

It was annoying in Cali though how there was a clearly reused Felman riff and how Patrick Stump came up with one of the main lines in Sober. Stuff like that is kinda annoying.

I think it was the management in general.

Am I the only one that didn't have a problem with Feldmann as a co-writer? It's annoying that they had co-writers in general, but I prefer Johnny boy to all the others.

That sounds obtuse, Fap.

I’m not interested in any of this, my dude. I was just making a dumb joke about Wasting Time. Same rules always apply for me … if I like what I hear then I am happy, if I don’t then I never revisit it again. What goes into its creation is none of my concern.

Yea that wasn’t a serious comment. But let’s not act like blink didn’t spend years making fun of artists who didn’t write their own songs, for that specific reason. So I’m sorry but if a band that used to make fun of people for not writing their own songs all of a sudden starts using a bunch of pop song writers, it’s fair game to make fun of them for it.

If the songs good then who gives a fuck. That’s always been my attitude.

I’m not the one even complaining about them using songwriters. I’m just saying those songwriters deserve the credit they’re given, while others are we trying to write them off.

I know for myself, back in the day when they were competing with straight up boybands and pop stars, it was always like well I like Blink and they write their own songs, so it was a bit worrisome when it first came out that they were using songwriters through the Cali years.

Yea, blink definitely used it as a selling point to separate themselves from all of the boy bands. Heard it straight from the horses’ mouths several times

I’m not stopping you! I’m just saying I don’t care about it either way!

Well, in the spirit, I would like to know who wrote:

"This time I won't be complacent. The dreams I gave up and wasted."

Dope fucking lyric. Based on the riff, this line, cannot wait to see where it goes to kick off the album.
