My only worry is if they are the same quality of See You and Cut Me Off.

A good stand alone song for the summer would be 200x better than an EP with songs like See You and Cut Me Off.

If that’s the case, which is possible, I’m out again.

And if I had to take a guess, that would be the most likely.  Not sure what else they had to talk about and that was where were trending.  They spent a lot of writing ammo on all those topics + resurfacing stuff - like Terrified.  I’m definitely worried they would be all See You and Cut Me Offs, plus one song that’s actually good but buried by them all.

They just need to sit down and do something that’s not fluffed up again, or true to them like Alkaline just did.

An 8 track album of all Turn This Offs would be great.

Down with the factory blink!

See You and Cut Me Off, or like majority Cali Deluxe sound like if you ran blink through an AI simulator.

People who know more about how modern radio works - was "Dance With Me" on the radio?

there's not a lot of terrestrial alt stations left, and what is measured by billboard is a sampling of a very smaller number of stations -- simply put, a number one hit on the alt. songs chart (or whatever they're calling it now) is a sort-of dubious achievement, as it's solely based on a dwindling number of stations with an even smaller pool of listeners. to that end, OMT the song was a juggernaut airplay-wise, their biggest radio hit in years. DWM never charted on that ranking, indicating little to no airplay, but it did chart on the "hot rock & alternative songs" chart, which measures more metrics like streaming, downloads, etc.

honestly looking at spotify/apple music/youtube plays is the biggest indicator of a song's modern success, at least in this era. edging (with it's year head start) and OMT have the largest plays, though DWM is in third on spotify. i think you could wind up seeing columbia trying to push DWM on radio formats the way they did OMT... it's extremely radio-friendly. but they haven't yet, and i have no idea how all that stuff works. it almost seems like the album release is now the end of the promotional timeline, when it used to be the start, at least according to the suits.

Fap dilemma:

If blink made a live album, which one would you choose?

1) Another mtts with overdubs done in the studio. No backing tracks.

2) The soundboard recording with no overdubs in the studio but with backing tracks!

Lol. I’ve actually thought about this before. The truth is I think a “live” album from them at this point would be incredibly lame any way you slice it. And I don’t think they’ll do one anytime soon.

Would be pretty sweet if they released a few more songs before the new next leg of the tour, also they better drastically change the set list in my opinion. I know a few us would appreciate at least another live album, though I don’t see them doing that with all the live footage out there now. All wishful thinking.

If you want a live album just get AI to put live singing overtop the studio album and boom!

Good stuff thanks! Yeah it's probably too late to put it out to radio at this point considering how it works nowadays, but that's a shame! I think it would've been their biggest "instant sugar rush/reach the casual masses/hook played in sports arenas/inescapable hit" type song since the glory years for sure. The way crowds fucking love it and scream along at the shows is incredible and so fun haha.

Even my 2 year old daughter was immediately hooked the first time she overheard it, and months later she still asks me to play "OLE!" all the time haha. It's got that special magic, that's for sure.

It's a good tune! I think Travis did well on it!

45 is the number assigned to Donald Trump. Why do you love Trump so much?

Part 2!!! That means Cali Deluxe to me but I'm okay with it!  Expectations are what they are now, and will take what can get since they kind of have this 'backend' career where everyone knows to separate the two a bit (Pre NH or Cali, Post NH or Cali)

I'm not expecting to get moved much anymore, but if Red Hot, Green Day, and a few other old acts being able to do so recently so can blink!
