Something sounds wrong when All In My Head transitions into the first chorus. Too abrupt, almost cut and paste like...

I noticed that but going from bridge to final chorus. I usually don't comment on that sort of thing though because I'm not musically inclined so I assume I'm wrong about it

David Allen Coe had a song called Cum Stains?!

The best advice I could ever give you is not to venture any deeper into David Allen Coe joke songs. Just enjoy Cums Stains on my Pillow and be at peace right there

Is it a cover of Tears on My Pillow?

The Last Song > No Fun

I like Rejects a lot.

It always reminded me of After Midnight. Not the music or the melody, but like the build up. Love that entire AAR album!

I was expecting to love these based on everyone’s complaining about the bridge being too AvA and unfinished 😄(#NeighborhoodsBridgeDefender)

But definitely a wonky bit offensive Bridge.  So was Cut Me Off.

but the songs actually hold a bit of weight, I can get on board with Tom’s raunchy humor shit he’s been on for a bit. It’s kind of funny with the youth photos of them in the backdrop.  Not as bad as expecting.

I like them enough, but I can’t pretend I’m gonna go back and listen to No Fun outside the rare occasion.  Tom sounds like he’s struggling a bit too much on the verses too.  All In My Head I’ll probably visit every so often.  Decent bonus tracks is how I see them.

Travis is an abomination though. They will never reach new heights again until they drop him from the equation.  Production is still fucking cheap, ass (replace horrible volume levels on drums with abrupt stops and lazy copy paste chorus transitions) and boring lazy drums.

Travis IS blink-182. Maybe you should just go be an All Time Low fan or something.

They're both good, two more Cali songs with Tom! Love the TOYPAJ sounding riffs.

My only gripe is with some of the lyrics. For a board that lost its shit over "Kings of the Weekend" I don't see how you can accept cum stains on the couch, watching porn, and rich girl party lyrics lol

completely agree. goofy shit for 50 year olds to write. i know what's my age again is the whole thesis statement of the band, but woof. listen to like +44 or untitled and then put that shit on. what happened?

i will say, the melodies of all in my head are completely enjoyable, as is the guitar work. it's just like, what happened to the lyrics for this band? no fun has the opposite problem -- it's too many lyrics! i'll give it that, it's an interesting choice, and i'm sure i'll wind up enjoying it more as time goes on, but these are completely inessential listens. just mind-boggling to hear MARK --

"you don't know the difference between love and submission and i'm not that obedient"

"i've got weak constitution, i'm led so easily"

"Gave up all her hope and went back inside / Hid her broken heart and let the engine die"

reduced to

"cum stains on the couch"
