just trying to start a conversation based on the only thing that is happening in the world of this band - them constantly posting photos of the old lineup.

if any admin wants to give me the ability to finally delete my account, i'll gladly do that instead.

Don’t do that now. Just hate seeing someone so attached to an outcome that is very unlikely and for which you have no evidence for

kev i appreciate the convo. i don't see what you're seeing, but i'd certainly hope that was where things are headed. the skiba era was DOA anyway, it's time to finally put it to bed and let the band be a legacy act for once and for all.

How quickly people forget what Tom really thinks about blink and his complete disregard for the fans. If he gave any fucks about you at all he would have been at least trying to play and sing correctly live. I’ll give him a tiny little slack for the voice but even the guitar playing was atrocious in his last several years. It’s not that he can’t play them, he played the dumpweed riffs correctly for the pursuit of tone. It’s that he can’t stand the fans so much that he has to get hammered to perform for us and doesn’t care how he plays or sounds. Go check out any live video of dumpweed from 2009-2015 and it’s always horrible. Not even the right notes. That’s just one example of many. He was never perfect but he wasn’t close to that bad when he tried...you know back in the days when fan adoration was relatively new to him and he gave a fuck. Anyways, he is the government’s chosen one now because he cracked the code on UFOs from reading books, haven’t you heard? He is way more important than blink

Problem with being a legacy act is most legacy acts go on tour.  Tom isn’t going on tour.  Skiba is our only hope until MGK decides to take the reins.

repeating years 2016-2019 seems equally as unrealistic to me. after all these shitty world events and their health issues, i don't think they'll ever be that active of a band ever again. especially as they all approach their 50s.

let's not forget they scrapped the new album that was allegedly almost done. seems like a nail in the coffin to that era of trying to achieve new fame through hired songwriters and tracks like blame it on my youth.

at this point as a fan i don’t really care if they’re an active recording or touring band in general. i don’t care if tom has enthusiasm or he doesn’t. all i want is for them to play a few shows every once in a while and celebrate what it was. it’s been a long time since they were a functioning unit so there’s no point in trying to rekindle it. just play the hits and have a good time.

Lol that’s all they’ve ever done is play the hits. I don’t think you have to worry about them ever playing any deep cuts

I’d rather just have new music, personally. I don’t really have any interest in seeing them live anymore, I’m not big on shows in stadiums these days, especially with the price tag that comes along with them.

I’m with you there, not fucking worth the cost at all.

Tom’s posting old blink shit for the same reason he always has - marketing. That’s all blink has been to him for years, easy access to press coverage for other projects.

How people still don’t realise this is beyond me.

Also a Kardashian posting old blink photos is also a sign? Get fucked. They’ll do anything for any attention and I’m sure she’s realised she can tap into a whole new demographic now and get even more.

I’m still a believer Tom will be back at some point down the line, but none of the stuff we are seeing now is any different to the other shit that’s been happening for years.

I’d prefer Tom but I’m okay with Skiba. I wish they’d create an album organically with Skiba. I still want to hear what the band would sound like when left to their own devices. It is what it is though, new music is better than no music.

I will take shit music at this point just to criticize and discuss about on here.  The legacy is already 'muddled' with after the new releases doesn't really matter at this point.  There are 4 different eras.  Early blink, prime blink, post-prime/reunion days, Cali era/skiba blink.

I’m just glad to see you’re done trying to describe untitled blink as vintage blink.

I love untitled and think they were certainly still in their 'prime' on boxcar/+44/self-titled no question, it just was a different era as a blink fan if not it's own entirely from Enema/Toypaj blink.  Boxcar kind of fusing Toypaj to Untitled.

Also, who cares.  Point is, no one regards this current iteration of blink with Skiba as any point prior and it's own thing.  California/Deluxe/Nine all feel very much the same to me though as much as Boxcar/+44/Self Titled era did not sure about anyone else (obviously way more shitty though)

@FAPLORDIf it makes your life any better, I finally jumped off the MGK train.  He just reportedly and on video lashed out on his guitar crew member like a total diva saying he was going to kill him and stuff and really rubbed me the wrong way.  Slash/Eddie Van Halen? Maybe, but even then the way he handled it was so childish.  That after his mediocre follow up album to Tickets and I'm done with his act already.

It was good while it lasted, but we all saw it crumbling at some point.

lol. I saw a news article where he was bragging about putting a gun in his mouth threatening suicide on the phone with Megan fox. Great thing to put into the atmosphere for impressionable kids to see...also I’m sure she’ll stay with him forever with that behavior

I mean Megan Fox, MGK, Travis Barker, Kardashian all seem to love fame so whatever is based off that first and foremost I'm pretty positive.  If MGK decided to start his own business and leave music limelight I'm sure Megan Fox would be gone in a heartbeat.
