I did.  I've listened to it about 50 times and hate it still.  Sometimes you hope it might grow.

My most metaphorical dream ever was about me ordering pizza from a pizza place and hating it and ordering from there ten times and hating it every time until I sued the pizza place for being terrible, but no one took me seriously and just asked why I went there so much if I didn't like it.

A song is a song lol, I don’t really know what he’s singing about I just think it’s a really good song

It's right there in the title though. You know... Lucifer?

I’m patiently waiting

i think CA/CA deluxe has aged pretty okay. i think deluxe (that second disc batch of songs) is my favorite stuff of the skiba era.

as for untitled, it's always been my least favorite blink album. since the first time i played it. i haven't listened to it all the way through in years; tracks will just come up on shuffle from time to time. so here are some notes on this listen:

1.) feeling this - blink paint by numbers. yet another I–V–vi–IV chorus. engaging only if you were new to the band when this dropped. bonus points for a nifty bridge though. 5/10.

2.) obvious - the first song that demonstrates that blink discovered half steps and add chords and thought this would make the band sound more sophisticated. the thing is, the more interesting they try to be, the more boring the result. 3/10.

3.) i miss you - has been unchecked in my itunes for almost 19 years. nothing to report. 0/10.

4.) second song built around half steps and add chords. also talking verses don't work with rock very well. snooze. 3/10.

5.) stockholm syndrome - i kind of like this song. the back and forth vocals are neat. suffers from relying on the half step / add chord trick though. nice bridge. what is it with mark and bridges? he just has a knack for them. i really dislike all the yelling on this album though. stop yelling. 4/10.

6.) down - dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. dumb, dumb, dumb dumb. skip. 2/10.

7.) fallen interlude - i fucking hate "interludes." this is just a sampled loop of someone who never learned how to play the piano. 100% this track was barker's idea. 0/10.

8.) go - i like this song. just drop the yelling and get some better guitar riffs on there. the verse riff sounds like a kid trying to learn to sound like tom. the instrumental part has a better riff. nice little bit that sounds very blink. I DON'T WANT TO YELL I DON'T WANT TO YELL I DON'T WANT TO YELL. 4/10.

9.) asthenia - tom's vocals on this song are absolutely cringe. fucking terrible. 2/10.

10.) always - this is a frankenstein monster assembled from other earlier blink songs. every part, progression, and melody has been lifted from prior hits. skip. 2/10.

11.) easy target - pretty hard and agressive. i can hear the boxcar influence. problem is, boxcar was terrible. i hate listening to tom sing post-jacket. 2/10.

12.) all of this - is this the guy from the cure? oh, they found an acoustic guitar. and a gong. skip. 1/10.

13.) here's your letter - hey, a pretty good song! mired by the half step / add chord stuff. and the chorus turnaround is sort of a rehash of "boring." but the verses are very classic hoppus and this progression ("lemmings" outtro, also "anthem pt 2") feels much better syncopated the way it is here. shame the chorus is so lame, awful vocals. solid bridge again. hoppus just has an ear for where to take a song during a bridge and then bring it back. 4/10.

14.) i'm lost without you - who cares, tom. stay lost. fucking terrible. skip. 1/10.

15.) not now (import bonus track) - although stuck in the half step / add chord thing, this song is pretty rocking! in fact, this is the best song of the entire sessions imo. tom sounds his best when he is pleading like this in the verses. banging pre-chorus. good arrangement, and fun travis stuff. the problem is, if the band left the single best song off the fucking album they were either really desperate for overseas sales or you have to doubt their judgement about the entire project.

so, yea. still blink's worst album. granted, i was 26 when it came out, and i was long past being a blink fan who cared by then. i'm bringing the bias of being a cheshire cat SOMA rat in with me.

I agree so much. Although I like Asthenia and think that’s the only good song on the album.but at least I’m not crazy! Well that’s debatable

Did he write that whole thing after Kay said he could post his opinion or wrote it before asking? What would have happened if she said no?

i wrote it up after. if people said nah i would not have gone to the trouble.

but it is a cool exercise, to return to an album you never listen to and give it a freshening.

Just because blink wanted Skiba doesn’t mean that I have to bow down to him lol. Look at how they’ve utilized him, doesn’t seem they respect him that much after all tbh

Marks insecurities about songwriting and bringing in john feldmen was the reason skiba wasnt respected

Well if he’s so insecure he should have consulted the band member he brought in lol. I’m not buying that theory

Untitled was the death of blink-182

they just became another boring alt rock band. which broadened their audience, i'm sure.

Untitled definitely grew on me but i had the same opinion as davey when it first came out apart from feeling this, thats my all time favourite blink song.

i never got the hype of i miss you, i skipped that song constantly.. yet if i tell people i like blink thats their go to song.
