Remember folks, a vote for me is a vote for honesty. Not a fan of Nine? I’m right with you, brother. You think Nine is actually a good album and should be well respected? I couldn’t agree more! Let’s get this competition started! 1 Quote
Coddled Jan Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 With BOTBM starting soon, I’d just like to say I’ll continue to make sure Cali-Nine never existed, if you vote for me. Thank you. Quote

I’ve never heard anyone else that comes close to mixing the comedy / heart like he does. Not much has anywhere near the heart of Bo and he is a personal favourite. I love Tom Cardy and Ninja Sex Party the most, but just in general if I can hear it over and over and still laugh then it’s golden. Quote

twentytwenty Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I listened to that album so much back in the days that whenever I hear a studio recording of those songs they feel super slow and unenergetic 2 Quote
thongrider Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I never liked that version of GATC. But the Enema version is perfect. The live version on Adam's Song is great though. Tom's vocals are way too low in the mix and ruins the song for me. Quote

This is such a great encapsulation of being a music fan in the late 90s/early 00s haha. 2 Quote

Half The Man I Used To Be.mp3 being actually by Stone Temple Pilots instead of Nirvana should be researched about and put in a museum. 1 Quote
thongrider Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 A lot of people don't know this, but the reggae cover of Red Red Wine is Bob Marley and not UB40, even if some p2p downloading services had it marked as that. 2 Quote

Funny thing is the Fountain of Wayne's song 'Stacy's Mom' has been misattributed to Bowling For Soup so much over the years that they ending up leaning into the joke and did a cover for it. 1 Quote

Paparazzi Magnet Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 On this day 24 years ago, blink was playing Bologna, Italy for just 20 minutes, as they had to cut their show short due to people throwing rocks and bottles. Throughout, you can see Tom subtly taking issue to it. Quote
Neal Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 I remember the song untitled was always named the n-word on limewire Quote

thongrider Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 The Dude Ranch version of Dick Lips ks so much better than MTTS. Jesus. That nice Country vibe totally gone. Pathetic though, is better on MTTS those "beloooong"s and maybe Peggy Sue. Other than that I don't think any of the songs on MTTS come close to the studio versions. 2 Quote
