One Night Stand, If You Never Left and All in My Head are the best ones imo. Everyone Everywhere is gonna be a forever skip.

I listened to if you never left today and it was even better now than the first listen.

I think this whole part 2 album will grow a lot for me with time and more listens

Due to my confusion regarding everyone liking Take Me In, I had to gather an external opinion.

Enjoy my wife’s reaction.

My wife’s been walking around singing the chorus all weekend lol. Says it’s her favourite part she’s heard from the new stuff. Different strokes.

One thing I am enjoying about Part 2 as a whole: Tom’s voice is really hitting its stride again. There are some bad takes here and there (can’t stand his “talk about it” in All In My Head, it sounds like he’s about to choke on saliva), but for the most part, he has done a really good job working the raspy punk edge back into his voice without it sounding forced. Neighborhoods/DED were full AVA voice, and while One More Time was a step in the right direction, I think this release is the one that he finally feels fully “back”.

Yeah, Tom sounds better than he's ever been (post-initial breakup), he even sounds better than Mark which is a strange turn of events. Marks always been the more reliable sounding voice, but in recent years it's sounded pretty weak (yeah, I know, cancer and all).

A couple brief thoughts so far:

- Everyone Everywhere is the underdog out of all tracks. I was ready to dismiss this song as some copy and paste throwaway track that didn’t work at all. Once that final chorus brought it all together I was absolutely on board. I love how there’s this AVA vibe but it’s still heavy enough. Would’ve been cool to have Mark backing Tom but whatever. Song kicks ass. I even love how weird the verses are. Couldn’t tell if it was some Simple Creatures or modern AVA influence, but it’s cool. The lofi vibe works but I wish Travis and Tom maybe add something more to the verses to shake it up a bit. It’s probably my 2nd favorite so far.

- One Night Stand won me over with Mark’s verses. Tom’s delivery on his verses are great but Mark singing in his lower octave was audio sex. One of my favorite moments on OMT. Would’ve preferred if Mark had both verses to himself or if he kept singing in the lower octave when Tom came in. Does anyone else hear that “Paper Thin” melody during the verses? It’s not exact but it’s similar enough to tickle my brain a little. Anyway, it’s probably my favorite song but EE takes the throne depending on my mood. I already have listened to these songs to death.

- In If You Never Left, the verses definitely sound like Suburban Kings with a little bit of a melodic change to differentiate it a bit. I wonder if Tom noticed that. It’s kinda fun to see it as if Suburban Kings got worked into blink. Different subject matter completely but whatever. Also it sounds like Skiba in the chorus lmao.

- All In My Head is probably my least favorite. Just seems like your average modern era blink song that was actual b-side that got rejected from the original OMT. I do like how raspy Mark gets singing “Is it ALL in my head?” and the rest of the post-chorus.

@Ghent lost between all the beta dudes whining, but I agree One Night Stand is a good example, why AvA went on way too longer than it needed to, as the songs are better with Travis & Mark backing Tom.  You could easily put this song on Lifeforms or w.e and it'd be about a 6/10 but with the blink flavor attached to it it's about a 9/10 for me.

However, wasn't Mark not willing to make music like this for a while and part of why Tom bolted?
