@Ghent lost between all the beta dudes whining, but I agree One Night Stand is a good example, why AvA went on way too longer than it needed to, as the songs are better with Travis & Mark backing Tom.  You could easily put this song on Lifeforms or w.e and it'd be about a 6/10 but with the blink flavor attached to it it's about a 9/10 for me.  

However, wasn't Mark not willing to make music like this for a while and part of why Tom bolted?

No Fun is great but the intro is awful. It’s too similar to AAR and so long. The chorus has grown on me though, it sounds like a dude ranch chorus or something

Agreed. That song is 100% AVA, but Mark’s harmonies in the chorus single-handedly elevate the song for me, and give Always vibes. Makes me yearn for what could have been if things had played out differently in ‘05 or ‘15.

One Night Stand gets better every play but I'm not a big fan of the Ooh Yeah's in the choruses, they just sound really odd to my ears.

I think it could be my fave song they’ve done since reunion 🤣 recency biased involved obviously but I fucking love it. The last half is fantastic. I love the verses too. Tom fucking kills it

Even if you don’t love it I don’t get this. Slamming guitars, good production finally, less cheesy lyrics than half OMT, Tom sounds prime, etc.

Each day I wake up and think this might be the best song they’ve done since Neighborhoods/DED for me.  At least one of them.

One Night Stand is my favorite of the new releases. I think it has the perfect mix of AVA and blink.

I'm really happy you enjoy it mate, it's just not for me. But you have previous for overreacting to stuff so I'll come back to you in a few months to see how you really feel about it. If you still love it at that point I'll genuinely be happy for you. I'm buzzing Blink are back and creating great music again. This one song is just a swing and a miss for me, which isn't a bad strike rate on over 20 songs.
