Yeah, Online Songs is great. I'm totally obsessed with Kaleidoscope these days. Best blink song post 2004 IMO.3 points

But that's not a baseless theory. There is no doubt that Tom has lost a massive chunk of his fanbase now that he's out of Blink. It's pretty clear that in his mind, the best way to gain some people back to "his side" so to speak is to release music and say the songs are blink demos. They kicked him out because (he himself admits this too) he can't commit, so now he's saying "look! See! I was working on stuff!" As for his social media activity, again it's clear what will happen. He has said he will tell his side of the story (again), which judging by his last "my side of the story" will be him acting the victim. Chance are it will happen around the same time these demos come out, because it's easier to get attention to these things if you do them together (Case in point:Tom promoting DED at the same time as an AvA EP). And then he will go back to posting about AvA all the time because 1)It's what he's always done. and 2)He won't have anything else to post about The bases: Tom now has a smaller fanbase because of this mess. Blink was his largest source of income. He was kicked out because he "couldn't commit". Toms said he will tell his side. Purely statistically, he will go back to promoting AvA and acting like blink drama never happened. (He didn't even really post about it while it was happening) The theories: He can show his "commitment" and in turn, gain back some fans by releasing blink demos. Tom will resume full blown promotion of Ava projects sometime after March 1st because it's what he's always done and all he has left. By all means, point out anything false with this.2 points

I agree. Tom has written more good songs in the past decade than Mark has.2 points
-
Are we forgetting that Mark hasn't written a truly great song in ten years either? Neither has Tom, but he arguably had the best song on both Neighborhoods and DED. Much of his work in AVA has been fairly trite, but this suggestion that he hasn't written one good song in ten years is fucking nonsense.2 points

Hey guys, Did you know that Scott Raynor had a facebook page ? He even updated his profile pic yesterday, pretty dope in my opinion ! https://www.facebook.com/Scott.iRaynor?fref=nf1 point

I actually really want this too. I haven't seen them live in seven years.1 point

The paranoia and baseless theories are making this board seem like Tom's brain.1 point
-
Dude you just created an entire scenario and got mad at Tom for what you made up. Maybe all he wants to do is release the shit he was writing because he wants people to hear it. Fuck, these baseless theories are getting annoying.1 point

This is pretty cool actually! Online songs is underrated, imo1 point

Wow, mate. So... it's prety obvious that you know nothing about drummers, rythm patterns or stuff like that, and how a drummer can be VERY noticeable in terms of composition. I get the point if you're talking about a drummer as a less recognizeable person in a band. I mean, is not a voice. So if you replace a guy for another one who uses the same drumset and plays what he has learned about the old one, yeah: there's no difference -well, there is, but is not huge-. But man, to say that drummers can be replaced from a band like if there's nothing more about it... well. That just speaks by itself.1 point

blink-182 going for the best troll in the history of punk! #blinkumentary1 point

yeh. Theyre playing every album front to back... because its what the fans want. Something that Blink always fell short on doing- giving the fans what they wanted.1 point

Yeah I was not being serious. Sometimes I'm just bad at getting that across via message board posts. Haha.1 point

Tom is such a piece of shit. Cognitive dissonance is strong in him.1 point

I would pay for a pro-shot video of this show. I was already more than willing to pay $35 for a ticket, if driving 1,800 miles round-trip wouldn't have been an issue. I'd still fork over some cash to watch the show in high quality.1 point

Well I don't think Tom is a great singer or guitarist either, but he is definitely unique. Nobody sounds like he does (which is probably for the best). Again, I'm not saying blink will be bad without him, but it will sound noticeably different with a new voice. Drums will sound essentially the same no matter who is playing the part. Nobody will sound like Tom DeLonge (and nobody should try to either. That would be horrendous).1 point

I've seen blink twice post-reunion. Obviously I notice Travis when he's flying over my head. But other than that, he could be replaced. I love Travis as a drummer, don't get me wrong. He's probably my favorite drummer in the world. His work on the untitled album especially is incredible in my opinion. The band would definitely lose something if he was no longer a part of the picture, but not to the same extent as blink-182 without Mark or Tom. blink with Scott or blink with Travis are equally good to me. The drummer can be replaced. The personality of the band is Mark and Tom. I guess what I'm trying to say is that they replaced Scott and it still feels like blink-182 with Travis. Replacing Tom will feel so different and strange. Not saying it will be bad, but undoubtedly different. I think drummers in general are replaceable. They replaced LP in Yellowcard, and at first I was heartbroken, but then I heard the new album and saw them live with a different drummer and it still felt exactly like the Yellowcard I knew and loved from before.1 point
-
I'm guessing you've never been to a live blink show then. YouTube doesn't do the drummer justice (or any of the other members for that matter). When I saw them live in Utah, I definitely noticed Travis' presence. He did his flying drum solo. It was one of the major highlights of the show!!1 point
-
Because he wasn't a songwriter and could rarely influence a track like Travis could with his drumming. Love his drumming on those two albums, but he wasn't as vital as the other three.1 point

I really get all the Tom bashing. But for me Tom was the reason I felt in love with blink-182. I've been a blink-182 fan for 17 years and I've always enjoyed Tom's songs more than Mark's. Don't get me wrong. I love the Mark-heavy songs as well. But for me blink-182 is the three of them together (Mark, Tom and Travis) and without Tom blink-182 is no more... RIP blink-182... Thank you for the good memories of almost two decades of my life.1 point

Scott. Hey remember when I kicked you out of the band, I didn't really mean that, can you help me out please? Holy shit, Tom and Scott should find a new bass player and start a new band!1 point

Don't hate Tom. I actually hope Skiba joins, all goes well..then Tom comes back down the road, after he fixes his problems. Super group 4 piece.1 point

Yeah, seems like Thomas D was a closet creepy tombot all these years. Never came into the blink section before. But now pops in every day with an awkward, flustered post because his master was kicked out of the band. Anyone who is primarily a fan of blink and their music (and not just Tom Delonge) would be stoked for what is going on right now.1 point
-
Yeah scott seemed to let go of blink amazingly well for what happened.1 point
-
part of this is really depressing. who actually would sit around and impersonate this guy? i also imagine scott's not pathetically living in the past, uploading old photos of himself.1 point
-
The thing is, this guy deletes all the comments, and blocks everyone who doesn't think its Scott. He sits around all day doing this apparently. So it may seem like a lot of people, but its really just a few morons with no common sense. I am pretty sure the guy who started this topic is behind it. Because he still thinks its Scott and no one can really be that stupid after all the evidence posted on here.1 point
-
The only thing he's verified on that page is how much of a cunt he is for impersonating Scott. Can't believe how many people believe it's scott, more common sense in a door handle.1 point
-
Yeah, nothing says you care more about PR and what people think of you than disabling comments and likes on a youtube video. That's something you might expect out of a Justin Bieber or someone. A 40 year old "musician" "businessman" "artist" should surely be able to handle youtube opinions......1 point
-
it doesn't matter what you would do. tom said he doesn't give a shit about pr, then he proved just the opposite - he doesn't want negative opinions under his new video. it's not a personal thing from him, because he doesn't read youtube comments. it's a business thing (pr).1 point
-
Still though, Tom himself said he doesn't care about fame or "PR". Not reading too much into that, it would seem that he indeed does care about those things. Why disable likes and comments otherwise??1 point
-
really doesnt have much to do with fender and gibson. its all about the difference in amps they're using. toms rig was completely digial and sound like it was coming out of a computer. garbage. matts orange tone is going to fill up any room. i use an orange myself. its a beast1 point
-
But, go ahead.... Freestyleskater or whatever will come in here and say "I lit four candles in my room tonight and laid beneath my AP magazine from the good old days. Tom looked so happy. I can see the pain in his eyes now and I embrace it and accept him for his flaws and follow the light he leaves behind for me. I CAN'T ACCEPT TOM IS A DOUCHEBAG! I CAN'T! I LOVE HIM! I WANT HIM! I NEED HIM! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! HE WAS MY HERO!" We all looked fucking up to him. But, lyrically try to post and defend the guy for what he did cause you're blind to the facts It's a bummer. It's a bummer (x2) Tom was cool. Now he's not. Move on. Stop being so weird. It's a bummer.... It's a bummer... (x2) (Fade out)1 point

He could release a hundred songs that are as good as Reckless Abandon, the point of all of this is still so incredibly idiotic. He's basically saying "They want to cut ties with me, fine. But, look at all this work I did." You had your manager tell Mark and Travis you weren't going to record a fucking album with them and were taking an indefinite fucking break. This would make sense if Mark and Travis called the guy a douche and said THEY didn't want to make the album with him, but he was the one who prevented it from happening. He's pretty much releasing all the songs he started, but refused to finish for us, the fans. And some of you are saying Blink isn't Blink without Tom. Blink isn't blink WITH Tom.1 point
