These vids are brilliant, I wish he did all blink songs or more of them at least. It’s easy to listen to that song and think it’s some throw away pop rock song but it’s so much more than that, for music buffs it’s probably nothing new but for the ordinary music lover like me it’s amazing to hear all the intricate parts of the song and it gives it so much more meaning to me now. The outro is fucking beautiful. Finn is a genius and sorely missed. He really was the fourth member and a massive loss to the band when he died. 9 Quote
Coddled Jan Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Pretty cool, the ATST one blew my mind more as we already knew about all the harmonies and such in WMAA. The little horn at the end was surprising though. Jerry Finn, such a legend, and glad to hear him get the recognition he deserves here. Also, Marks fucking vocals here, so good. 5 Quote

All 3 of them sound so good on their parts vocally and with their instruments. Marks bass in the bridge sounds so good 2 Quote

It's crazy to, even as a blink fan, hear all these straightforward pop punk songs growing up and then find out later they really had so much more at work behind the scenes to make that sound and excitment and sprinkle all these little tidbits in and knowing how to play with our emotions like when to sprinkle a little bit of Tom in at the end of WMAA in the background. Finn really was a genius. 4 Quote
theedge00 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Can we start a petition that he does a break down of Feeling This (still one of the greatest Blink songs imo) 6 Quote
theedge00 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 When I watch his videos, I really wish I had become a sound engineer or something like that ? 1 Quote

We need it! Although finding out all the background noises in ATST was more exciting than ever expected it to be. I'll take any. Love these breakdowns. Especially when he pulls apart the vocals only, I cried. Yeah, I fucking cried. 1 1 Quote

Yeah, I fucking cried. I loved when he did like a Woooo every time he isolated Travis’ drum fills ? Quote

Speedo Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 That was an interesting watch, thanks for the share @Patient #48273. Is the song dropped a half-step on the album? I always thought it was standards tuning. 1 Quote

I'm please to see him doing more pre-Enema songs. Though, so far he's been doing his songs from that period, and Lemmings is next too. Coincidence? Quote

Coincidence? mark does not pick the songs. it's a group effort. each stream playlist organizer (it's a different one of us each time) polls the electorate on the discord. and then picks the five suggestions that they want. for example, i asked for "cliff diving" for the first set, "waggy" for the second set, "apple shampoo" for the third set, and "lemmings" "roller coaster" and "when your heart stops beating" for the most recent stream. i got lucky on that last one (more than one person must have suggested the same songs). for tomorrow's stream, i'm the playlist organizer along with a friend. i put a REAL CHESTNUT in there and i hope mark actually plays it. 1 1 Quote
Champ182 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Is this a play-along type of thing where he's playing bass along with the recorded song? Or is he doing acoustic performances? 1 Quote
Low Value Boy Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Rick Beato is the fucking man. Love how he doesn't judge music by genre or simplicity and just recognises good music for what it is. 4 Quote
