powerful stuff, i wonder what tom was going through. but that's the magic of this band: that mark was willing to address it and simply tell him he loves him and appreciates the effort he was giving. mark said in the discord the other day that it "feels like the old days" with the band and i wonder what he means.

another thing too, after watching some of that show. i think OMT as a closer is working better now than i expected. i've never minded the song too much -- it's a little maudlin i guess, but speaks universally and therefore works. but in the context of the show, it being "one more time" they come out to play, a song about themselves, and then the pictures floating by on the screen... it really does hit. i love the way the audience has gotten into the habit of applauding before the song is over too.

A powerful moment followed by a goosebump-inducing moment with the way Tom fucking killed the vocals on reckless abandon.

A lot of watermark moments in this second reunion era and that is one of the more underrated ones for sure. Makes me think of the ending to UC2 and smile.

He’s 16 - hes a gobby adhd riddled knob of a boy but he loves punk and musicals so I have a soft spot for the annoying bastard. Sometimes he’ll be like “ive found this like, underground old school punk band” and im like “oh yeah? Who?” And he’s like “Minor Threat” and I eyeroll and list off a bunch for him to check out and he gets very excited. He was pumped over black flag. Man the pen thing is bogus though. I collect autographs and ink color makes a huge difference. And the guy was trying to get a copy of Greatest Hits signed so black wouldn’t even show up on it.
