Think it’s going to go #2 in the states with 103,600 buys/streams or however the fuck it’s calculated these days. Apparently that’s a good number . Fuck knows. Pretty hard to top drake tbh he must get fucking millions and millions of streams every day.

In the UK "Rolling Stones’ ‘Hackney Diamonds’ Sparkles on Midweek U.K. Chart. The Rolling Stones are careering to another U.K. No. 1 with Hackney Diamonds (via Polydor), the legendary British rock band’s 26th studio album.

Another reunited rock favorite, Blink-182, is forecast to open behind the Stones. The U.S. pop punk band’s ninth studio album One More Time… (Columbia) bows at No. 2 on the Official Chart Update, and should mark the trio’s sixth U.K. top 10. One More Time… reunites the classic lineup of guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge with bass player Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker for the first time in almost a decade."

The single one more time and anthem part 3 are on track to enter top 40 again this week. Chart update as them at 31 and 32

That’s great. Notice their greatest hits album is like no61 or something on the top 100 albums too

They were never going to beat the Stones. #2 is great though

Does that mean Drake has only moved 500 physical copies of his album?

It’s super cool that blink 182 fans still like albums/vinyls, if I’m reading that right.

I do agree with whoever said they need to bring jewel case back! Essential

That was me... I was the one that went on a tirade about digipacks when I got my CD. It was made even worse by the fact that I accidentally ripped the digipack case a bit when trying to get the CD out (while also not touching the part that gets read to avoid making it dirty or scratching it).

By sales alone blink and the Stones are shitting all over the rest of the chart. Physical copies matter ??

That's what's weird to me. Their albums sales(?) dwarf everyone else yet they aren't in the top two spots?

Yeah this streaming nonsense does my head in tbh. Blink should be no1. Taylor Swift has about 7 albums in the top 20 or whatever because basic bitches and Ghent are streaming the fuck out of her. It’s ridiculous.

it's just that drake's streaming numbers are huge

Essentially it’s the same as someone buying the blink album and then they count how many times that person has listened to it in their house. It’s fucking ridiculous

Is the activity and sales separate? Does it mean blink have sold 80k physical copes but it’s been streamed 23k times? Or does it have 80k sales and 103k streams?

it's not as easy as that for streaming data. I just found this:

Streaming equivalent albums (SEA)
SEA is calculated by adding up all of the audio song streams from an album. Premium streaming totals are divided by 1,250 and free streaming totals are divided by 3,750. Thus, 1,250 premium streams or 3,750 free streams from the same album is equivalent to 1 album unit.

edit: to answer your question, i have no idea ?

california sold 172,000 in it's first week. this is an utter disaster. drake's album isn't even new...

#pray4blink

nah just kidding, I thought it would do better than that actually. streaming I think isn't accurate and the equivalent to payola and record labels buying albums and returning them next week....which they used to do.

"The Rolling Stones are on the way to marking a huge career milestone as their brand-new album, Hackney Diamonds, storms ahead to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Currently outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined, Hackney Diamonds – the first album of original material by the Stones in nearly 20 years – has already managed to accumulate over 55,000 chart units over the weekend. "

Pathetic from us Brits.
