I have premium and it says I have to buy it

Are you on a family plan?

I share with my siblings but I'm not the primary account holder. Only my brother who is the primary account holder has access to audiobooks with the subscription FWIW.

Initially I thought the idea of a partially scripted book tour was unique but that does sound pretty disappointing. I guess it makes sense not to have a Q&A — given some of the sensitive subject matter in the book — but it seems unnecessarily guarded in a weird way

Some drama on Reddit (not really drama but people are complaining)

Those people have obviously never been to an author event for a big-time name. They rarely do Q&As and most of the books you get are pre-signed.

I've never been to a book event but I assume it's probably extremely normal to be structured like that and people who are Blink fans and not book fans probably just got weirded out based on their own expectations.

The fact copies of the book handed out were not pre-signed is a little crazy, honestly.

Yeah, I don’t have any problems with a scripted show and the no Q&A policy, but it sucks that those people paid 100 dollars and the book they give you at the event is not even pre-signed.

Scripted just like their shows lol. Mark plays it too safe for everything. Love the guy but come on

Is pre-signed a good or bad thing?

Unsigned - bad

Pre-signed - good

Stand in a line to have Mark sign it and say hello - what most people want

So unsigned means he won't sign them at all? Pre-signed means he won't sign them personally? Or does it mean he'll sign it twice for those who stand in line?

No,he isn’t meeting you in line and signing anything at all. You won’t even get a look of disgust as he thinks to himself “leave me the fuck alone, peasant.”

Yeahhhhhh, I get the frustration cause I always found Mark pretty entertaining when he's just riffing. The topic at hand is you, so I don't get why this is a big deal. I get not wanting to be around people after the cancer thing, but not taking open Q&A seems so safe.

I loved the book! It was fun and fast and Mark’s voice was really prominent. Some new stories mixed in with things I already knew but it still felt fresh.

I enjoyed it more than the book by Travis. Perhaps because the book was really telling the blink-182 story (from Mark’s perspective with his anecdotes and personal adventures throughout).

Oh, and I thought it was clever/cute how he alluded to or referenced lyrics as he told different stories (the apple juice, go, etc).

I picked up on that as well. Can't remember them all now, but there were definitely quite a few. "Beige little boxes in a row" when describing Tom's old neighborhood in San Diego
