theedge00 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Let's construct a setlist including songs from California (keep in mind that ATST, FD, RS etc need to be played as well). I think we can assume they'll play about about 5-6 songs from California right? So which 5-6 songs from the current setlist would you swap for Cali tracks. (excluding Pool and Brohemian) Feeling This What's My Age Again? Family Reunion The Rock Show First Date Down I Miss You Up All Night Bored to Death Built This Pool Dumpweed Always Stay Together for the Kids Man Overboard Violence Josie Happy Holidays, You Bastard Not Now Reckless Abandon Carousel All the Small Things Brohemian Rhapsody Dammit Quote
PuppyKillingMachine Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'd probably play about 10 songs from California every show. Sounds like a lot, but it's sort of *this* band's only album, and if you include "Built" and "Brohemian," it's really more like 8 and a half songs. If I were them, I'd just learn every song and mix up the other 8 from night to night. Keep it fresh. The only songs I might make a point of playing every night would be "Bored" and "Home." "California" seems like an awkward live song, but it's the title track, and it would certainly stand out in the set as something different. Maybe a good closer, prior to the encore. Quote
Kay Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I don't even know how they'd play half this shit live to be honest. 2 Quote

Helen Hoppus Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 they should play live these songs from Cali imo: SD, SOOFH, no future, left alone, KOTW, cynical, rabbit hole 1 Quote
Heinrich Faust Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 They should just play Cynical 20 times then drop the mic and walk off stage 7 Quote
Loudernow Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Cynical, Bored to Death, San Diego, No Future and She's out of her mind Drop: First Date, Up all night, STFTK...they can handle 2-3 more songs in their set 1 Quote
Scott. Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Left alone, San Diego and sober repeated for hour and half. 2 Quote
Ghent Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Haha yeah this album is so good I'm going to be really bummed if they don't play a bunch of stuff off of it. Quote
Chrisx37 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 If they don't play The Only Thing That Matters I will be disappoint. 1 Quote
theedge00 Posted June 26, 2016 Author Posted June 26, 2016 My take on this thing, 24 songs: Feeling This What's My Age Again? Cynical She's Outta Her Mind The Rock Show First Date LA I Miss You Bored to Death* Built This Pool* Dumpweed Always Stay Together for the Kids** Man Overboard** Violence Sober San Diego Not Now California Encore I: Josie All the Small Things (split encore for shits and giggles) Encore II: Carousel Brohemian Rhapsody* Dammit *Already in current setlist. **Keep this spot rotating, used for playing a deep cut (will probably never happen but whatever). Cheerios4u98 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Cynical is a must. If they don't end up playing that, I'll be shocked. I'm very surprised we haven't heard Rabbit Hole live yet. Quote
Ghent Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I want to hear Cynical, BTD, Sober, San Diego, Rabbit Hole, Home is Such a Lonely Place...at least! I think the set list they posted is real though and we will only be getting BTD, Rabbit Hole, She's out of her mind, and the joke songs. It's gonna suck. 2 Quote
boxelder Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 as a person who doesn't mind the greatest hits setlist, here we have it: main set feeling this wmaa family reunion the rock show down she's out of her mind built this pool after midnight BTD man overboard always i miss you happy holidays you bastard/brohemian rhapsody first date rotating slot (stay together/M+M's/not now/wendy clear/GATC/something off california maybe) josie reckless abandon ATST carousel encore cynical violence dammit so something not too far off what we have now! this could realistically be the setlist at some point later this year. not a lot of songs of this record would work well live. SOOHM, if it's a big hit (and we'll know soon enough), might as well become part of the permanent setlist. if HIALP becomes a single, we might wind up seeing it replace after midnight or something. i would just love to see AM make a comeback to their setlists cause it's so arena-ready 1 Quote
Champ182 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 I wonder how they'd play Home Is Such A Lonely Place. Would they break out the acoustic in the middle of a show and play it without drums until the end like on the album? Or will it sound completely different when they do it live? Quote
Harry Potter. Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 The one song they NEED to play and I'm afraid they won't is Left Alone. That chorus is so powerful, and if they took that live it would be incredible. Quote

M!ke Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 With free reign, I'm gonna have some fun 1. Feeling This 2. Cynical 3. Violence 4. Dammit 5. Dick Lips 6. Mutt 7. No Future 8. Down 9. I Miss You 10. Up All Night (I like it live, so sue me) 11. The Rock Show 12. All The Small Things 13. Kaleidoscope 14. Bored To Death 15. Not Now 16. Even If She Falls 17. Adam's Song 18. Apple Shampoo 19. Disaster 20. Hey, I'm Sorry 21. Reckless Abandon (acoustic encore) 22. 21 Days 23. Boxing Day 24. Wasting Time 25. Home Is Such a Lonely Place (final encore) 26. Carousel 27. Wendy clear 28. She's Out Of Her Mind 29. Please Take Me Home 30. Stay Together for the Kids This is obviously a dream setlist and not something that would ever happen. But really they need to be playing 2 hour sets now, its very frustrating how they don't think that's something that we want. Songs like First Date, WMAA, and Always, I feel like can be dropped. A song like 21 Days is obviously never gonna happen, especially without Tom in the band, but in my wildest dreams, it'd be there to start of the acoustic encore. I also don't think Dammit should still be the closer, it should be there, but I'd love if they closed their shows out with Stay Together For the Kids, that to me just seems like the best song they could end a show on. They can still play whatever short joke songs they want, I don't mind that stuff, but I also don't care enough about them to actually put them in my set, if they played a show without the joke songs I really wouldn't care. Cheerios4u98 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Anyone who doesn't want to sit through a two hour set list can just fucking leave early and let us stay and enjoy the extra songs. 2 Quote
