blinkstillrules Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 https://web.archive.org/web/20001110143000/http://www.windu.com/blink182/ I used to go on this site back in the late 90s/early 2000s all the time. Our own Daveyjones is thanked on the lyrics page for submitting the lyrics to Zulu. 4 Quote

Ixidor Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Man, those oldschool pics. Back when it was all about the music, getting yourself out there and going for it. Off... I am starting to lean slightly towards davey nowadays - how can you experience the energy, passion and dedication of the "old" times and then be satisfied with the uninspired, greatest hits era, when something was always delayed multiple times. It regressed into three dudes not getting over themselves to stay in a room and write a proper album for whatever years that went on. 2 Quote

_Bagel Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Thanks for this mate , love the insight back in time - that Thrasher interview was sick . Mark and Tom saying how Scott is the only one with ambitions outside of the band itself... Quote

blinkstillrules Posted May 21, 2020 Author Posted May 21, 2020 FYI, the site owner Nick Riemondi, had a pop punk band back in the late 90s/early 2000s called Cereal Box Killers. You can still get their two albums here: https://archive.org/details/free_friend https://archive.org/details/teenage_heartthrob_band Quote
daveyjones Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 @Ry-Bread if you want to try and get ahold of nick he'd probably be an amazing interview for your podcast: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nickriemondi/ 4 Quote

Nick got to hang with them at the 1997 MTV Sports and Music Festival along with having them crash with him in 1995. I'm sure he has some cool stories. Quote
MSandt Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Although Raynor intends to finish high school by pursuing "home studies," he hasn't written college out of his life. "I'm definitely going to go to college, and eventually [I'll] grow up and get a real job," Raynor says. "Even if the band becomes really big, there's no saying how long it will last. I want to make good music, but I don't want to miss out on other opportunities. I'm already missing out on my senior year of high school. Besides, I don't want to be 30 and still in a punk-rock band. That seems kind of scary to me." -J.N. 1 Quote
Mard_Smartiest_Blinkfan Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 " TOM DELONGE - guitar, vocals MARK HOPPUS - bass, vocals TRAVIS BARKER - drums" ajhajaj couldnt have been clearer about that Quote

Conspiracy theory: Scott left blink because of this but they thought it would be lame to say this so they went for the more rockstar/punk story of him leaving because of alcohol abuse 2 Quote
