  1. hey guys, it's been a while. can someone tell me what the fuck this is?

  2. At this point, I'm actually hoping no more songs are released until the album drops. At most, the album is only a month away. I waited a long ass time just to hear Bored to Death, I can wait a single month to hear 13 more real songs. Plus it makes the album listening experience all the better for that first time when you've heard as few songs as possible.

  4. To me its pretty much clear that Tom got bored/embarrased about blink around 2002, that mixed with the pills and the health problems (that explains his live performance declive around Pop Disaster Tour and so on) then he tried to change things by doing BCR and changing blink´s format (2003 serious record) but there is something that he couldnt and will never change, and its the eternal youth/childish blink´s style thats always remains, especially on live shows, and he is not into it anymore apparently

  5. If Tom truly was faking everything prior to Untitled, he was quite the chameleon. Seems like he was truly happy and likable back then. He has been acting like a miserable fuck for over 10 years now in his "happy place." Logic reveals that he has forced himself to change into some kind of wannabe rock god tool in an attempt to coddle his ego. Biggest rock band of all time etc. it hasn't worked at all, so now he lives in a world of denial and discredits all accomplishments prior to his crisis.

  10. Yeah I was watching the recent weenie roast videos last night and stumbled upon this one: It sucks that Tom sucks these days, because this shit was fucking epic and timeless. That being said, give me Matt over current Tom any day of the week. 15 years ago I never thought blink would break up. 10 years ago I never thought they'd get back together. 5 years ago I never thought I'd accept blink without Mark, Tom, or Travis. 1 year ago I never thought they'd become "relevant" again or kick this much fucking ass with the new lineup. I'm done trying to guess the future, I'm just enjoying the ride of my favorite band from here on out because, ultimately, blink as a whole means more to me than any one member.

  11. That video was hilarious nice work you guys!

  12. Haha every time I read something from Kerrang I get so annoyed with their dorky phrasing and over the top exclamation marks. It's still gonna be awesome to read though.

  13. good summary. he certainly was more bummed about the image MCA created for them (underwear boy-band posters, articles in teen vogue) than mark or travis did. he did BCR, and strained relations with mark and they never fully repaired (both from that and the breakup). tried to change things up with untitled, had a nervous breakdown, went crazy on pills. when blink came back around, all it was good for was cash for the other things. to care more would mean to fix things with mark and feign an interest in it all, because he'd long "outgrown" the genre. although i think it's clearly still eating at him that blink perhaps needed to mean more, since he's been replaced

  16. yeah I don't think I've ever had this conversation - me: "you should check out ____'s new album, it's great" them: "well, how's it doing on the radio? how about the charts?"
    1 point
  17. I didn't even realise people under the age of 50 even listened to the radio anymore!

  18. Aussie here, I've heard it twice on the top 40 station, within the first 2 weeks of release but haven't heard it since. Alternate / indie station is playing it once every 3-4 days

  19. i don't think they'll play a new song on espn...they're going to do bored to death for tv and probably a set like all the small things/wmaa etc. the kroq set

  20. i think whether or not they perform a new song this Saturday will be a good indication as to whether they will release a new song before the album is out. I doubt they would perform the song live only for it to remain unheard until almost a month later Sent from my SM-G318ML using Tapatalk

  21. because it has members of blink and rancid. did you know that ilan rubin himself is a supergroup? he has members of nine inch nails, lostprophets and paramore.

  22. Yeah the Arkham guys should do a Spider-Man game.

  23. If we don't get a new song in the next 10 days or so, my hype for the album will be dead. I can totally see myself not really caring about the band for all of June and then getting to July 1st and realizing the album was released, which I'll obviously be stoked for, but it's hard to build up anticipation over nothing.

  24. Personally I still love WDNTW and iEmpire. Was nice seeing Tom take a different direction after blink instead of sticking to the basic formula of what we had come to expect from the previous 10-15 years. But I really don't care at all for the LOVE albums. Thought the majority of the songs sounded dull, too similar and lacked originality. Dream Walker is actually a fairly good album but not something I find myself listening to much at all.

  25. If you replace N with P, "Dope" becomes "Done" so i guess Matt Skiba is done with blink. We have to see what the future holds people!
    1 point
  26. I don't see any connection between Travis saying "Dope!" on a BCR picture, and the possibility of Tom coming back to blink. I mean, if they are in good terms, it's pretty normal that Travis hinted him on the picture. At least, he provided amazing drums on that record.

  27. He's not capable of writing that kind of music anymore.

  29. Someone else mentioned that Stockholm Syndrome should've been the 4th single instead of Always, while I think Stockholm is a much better written song in every way, I guess Always made more sense since its much more radio friendly/accessible. It's cheesy, but I love Always and its video. I never cared too much for Obvious or Down, they're cool but if I want to listen to darker blink, I prefer turning to Violence, Not Now or Stockholm. I always loved Here's Your Letter, the verses in particular have a really fun groove to them. Lost Without You is a weird one for me. I honestly forget it exists sometimes, and is probably the song I listen to the least from blinks discography post-Cheshire Cat. I think I've listened to Love Is Dangerous more than Lost Without You, and I hate Love Is Dangerous. It's weird because I distinctly remember having a really good memory listening to Lost Without You for the first time at like 1am, in my bed with the lights off and earphones in cranked up and the whole song feeling like a sonic eargasm, and yet I've barely listened to it in full since and that was like 9 years ago. Hmph /end pointless rambling about random Untitled songs

  33. The momentum may be gone for us, fans, but the song is far from done on the charts (which reflect its popularity). It seems headed to #1 on Alternative Songs (US radio format). As long as it comes out one or two weeks before the album, I don't think it's too late. I'm excited to have another blink video. I would love it if it somehow became viral and a huge hit.

  34. Some fucking ungrateful miserable cunts on here ffs. Can't wait to see the video!
    1 point
  35. I can't believe the band was okay with that lol. So cringe. Not even blink in their mtv heyday would have stooped that level
    1 point
  36. even if your not "excited" for the video for whatever reasons, you should know that outside of this message board, music videos are still a very big part of bands and artists promotional material for new albums. just because it's not being played on mtv like it was 10 years ago or you haven't kept up with other bands videos doesnt mean they're not still a very big and neccessary thing

  37. English is not my native language but now I make an exception " Fuck tom delonge "

  38. Yeah, people... you all are so avant-garde, that you don't care about blink releasing their first video with Matt Skiba after all the downfall and resurrection. Of course not. Pretty standard stuff. Please, bitch. I mean, I bet you would be more excited about NFG. For sure.

  39. i absolutely think it'll be for bored to death. doesn't matter that the song is already out, we'll be hearing it in a new medium. they've already stated that the label chose bored to death as the lead single, so i don't see why the first video would be anything else. but we shall see

  40. That actually happened to me when I was 14 and saw blink the first time. Some olds (23 I guess) had taken our seats when we got there. Had to play it cool and let them know I wasn't fucking around. My older sister told them to move.

  42. I've been watching some Untitled era videos and fuck it, I miss that blink and that Tom. Nostalgia is a bitch. Sorry for the offtopic.

  43. Of course he doesn't feel like he fits into blink - we've heard one proper song and he's been in the band like 5 seconds. he won't really feel like a part of it until you see them live or you listen to the album.

  44. i hope one of the performances will be at the conan and skiba and mark will both have black and blue faces.
