scoobs Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Bloody Valentine (legit banger IMO) brought me in to try his music and while i don't love it all, he's got talent and a lot of catchy music there's no denying it. If pop punk goes mainstream again because of this then great! Quote

Feels like the natural evolution of pop punk given where the rest of pop went over the last decade. Travis is so talented man. 1 Quote
Kay Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I made it through like 4 tracks, kiss kiss is basically identical to bloody valentine, and it's very cheesy corny paint by numbers pop punk sound, but it's fucking better than modern blink. Still not my thing but I find it hysterical how much riffier this is considering it's basically pop music. 1 Quote

scoobs Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Certified bangers: title track bloody valentine forget me too WWIII concert for aliens my exs best friend jawbreaker nothing inside Not sure on kiss, kiss or drunk face, maybe growers. Quote
ManchesterAdam Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Was really looking forward to the MGK album but was pretty disappointed to be honest. Wasn’t bad but just found it boring except for Bloody Valentine. Going to give it another listen and hope there’s a few growers on there. 2 Quote
NotNow Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Albums decent but honestly the choruses mostly fall flat which is disappointing because the foundation is there for awesome songs. Some really good ones though. 1 Quote
Dylan_ Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Decent album but a lot of the songs sound very same-same. 1 Quote
Scott. Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 wow Halsey sounds great. Between the both of them they could bring a huge new following to the genre and blink. Both are huge Blink fans and you can hear blinks influence All over this album. Let’s hope between MGK, Halsey and yungblud pop punk gains a new following. I love hip hop but I’m fucking sick of hearing it everywhere 5 Quote

Nosferatu Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I listened to the album and it's not my thing at all. I like one track but if this album can help gain pop punk music or alt rock music a bigger following, then I'm all for it. Like Scott I'm sick of the same old tired music that's been dominating the charts for the past decade and a half. It's about time chart music became more diverse like it used to be. 2 Quote
