I just wish the mix was better. It's so harsh that it's hard to listen on repeat as much as I would've wanted to haha. 5 Quote

And I’m not going back to it for the same reason, but maybe it’s also because I’ve had it on repeat for months on end when it came out. I still love the album and all the original 17 songs – I can’t say the same about the deluxe and part 2. 2 Quote

Just give us a 5 track EP. They've done the same album deluxe thing enough now. Rubin would certainly be able to push you to challenge yourself and play it less safe. The problem is that he also compresses the sound (Death Magnetic by Metallica for example is even louder than OMT to the point of being annoying) Quote

Enjoyed OMT launch quite a bit, flew down to see them live and everything that weekend. Good times. Still ‘like it’, production bothers me. Enjoyed Cali & Deluxe quite a bit, who wasn’t excited after all those years? Deluxe had some bangers too. Grew to dislike it but still consider it ‘okay’. Hated Nine from the jump, couple good songs. Liked NH and ran it every day. Didn’t love it until after the fact though. DED loved off rip. Like it better than all the follow ups (although A3 probably hit me the hardest since When I Was Young). So actually enjoyed OMT, currently still enjoy NH? 1 Quote

It’s still rad that they’re together and they had an incredible run where they were the only song writers. I don’t care that they get some outside help at this point if it helps keep them together and having fun. It’s not like people are going to see the Rollings Stones in concert to hear their new material these days anyways. They’re in their old man chill stage lol. I don’t care for the deluxe songs either except for Everything Everywhere and If You Never Left which I think both are rad 2 Quote
Knapppers Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Still listen to many songs from OMT on the regular. Has aged well. 1 Quote
Russel Coight Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I still listen to OMT and the deluxe all the time. Love the albums. They’re great! 2 Quote
vic vinegar Posted March 21 Posted March 21 We spin OMT on our roadtrips. It helps knock off about 75 minutes of the drive and it really does feel like blink again. 1 Quote

I think some of the streaming platforms have updated mixes that are less harsh on the ears. 1 1 Quote
Russel Coight Posted March 21 Posted March 21 OMT PT2 vinyl was the best I’ve heard part 1 and 2 sound. 2 Quote
boxelder Posted March 21 Posted March 21 OMT is pretty good overall. none of it holds a candle to anything pre-2005, but it's certainly the best album since then. more consistent than neighborhoods though less exploratory, less obviously commercial than california. i sort-of wonder what would make a perfect blink post-2005 album, sans skiba era. i tried to sequence it like i'd imagine it. made some hard cuts (pretty little girl, more than you know, blink wave), but: GOTDF dance with me every other weekend when i was young after midnight one more time heart's all gone bad news kaleidoscope wishing well you don't know what you got anthem pt 3 childhood 1 Quote

just_bringing_good_chats Posted March 22 Posted March 22 fantastic video travis is such a brilliant n great man, hes always evolved, him running buisnesses sucesfully way back then when he was much younger, was a early telling sign that he was someone unsuauly talented with that stuff the thing hes built to record with artist and write for them is fantastic aswell (the setting, the process, who he writes with and what he does for them) but listening talking about the blink stuff of that last albummakes me wonder, did tom write anyhting ont he new album? that on moe time song sounded so much like a tom song!?!? I still don't put a ton of stock into Travis's version of events all the time. I'm sure if we got an interview with Tom or Mark like this, they'd explain things a little differently. But either way, as someone else said earlier, why does Travis feel the need to strip back the mystique in the first place by saying it was basically all him while sitting around with some other dude? Haha he's so aloof. 1 Quote
Thibaut182 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Blink 182 Online gets the exclusivity first! shout-out to punkrockcamp on Reddit for this footage! Missing third angle for that Atlanta Warped Tour 1997 performance, recorded from the side of the stage. The cameraman shot and recorded 2 songs (Josie and another song) Will be uploaded all on Youtube! 3 Quote
